Anyone who has followed me for more than a few years knew that I had an obsession with the elevator in Morrice, some maybe calling it unhealthy. After it was finally torn down a couple years ago, there really wasn't much reason to visit Morrice, until I started snooping around the other elevator in town that is far less appealing structurally, but has plenty of other things to work with. After discovering the WC was leading an overnight A491, I did my sleep deprivation routine and ventured out into the muggy night and began setting up. Just a few minutes before 5am, A491 comes flying through the small farming town alerting everyone to its presence, and me alerting them to mine with some speedlights.
I heard an unfamiliar call note coming from a dense mound of foliage and somehow managed to spot this Sedge wren peeking out. He proved to be a tough guy to get a shot of, as close as he was (this is cropped, but barely). Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary in West Alton, Missouri

Papa loon bringing home the bacon. He was working hard to feed his family. I laughed at times because I thought a few fish he brought were too big for the babies. Found this healthy family on a gem of a lake in the middle of nowhere in British Columbia. Not a human soul around! There was 3 successful hatches, two babies with each pair. Definitely loon paradise! Proof that loons uninterrupted by human ignorance have a better chance of surviving.
I want to use my pictures to raise awareness to save the Common Loons.
Loons are dying of lead poisoning after eating fish with lead sinkers, and possibly after picking up discarded sinkers from lake bottoms. The lead is partially dissolved in the loonās gizzard, or second part of the birdās stomach, then absorbed into the blood and body tissues. The absorbed lead causes nerve, kidney, and other tissue damage. North American studies indicate that a significant proportion of adult loon deaths on the breeding grounds is attributable to lead poisoning from ingestion of sinkers.
To protect the loons on lakes, boats should be kept well away from swimming birds, particularly when they are with chicks that are too young to dive or fly. Some shoreline areas should be left undisturbed to accommodate loon nests, and boaters passing these areas should travel at speeds that do not cause wash. Anglers have the responsibility of using non-lead sinkers and of ensuring that no hooks or lines are left unattended or abandoned.

This is a painting of a Hindu Deity called Ganesh who is also known as the The lord of removing Obstacles.
His image can be found in India, Nepal, Srilanka and Indonesia.
And in every Hindu house one can found an image of Lord Ganesh and he is honored at the rites and ceremonies.
so i thought of making his image more colorful and dynamic where art lovers really appreciate.
Well, people who came to visit my art exhibition appreciated this painting.
Ganesh and Buddha are two common art works which is known to art collectors through out the world.
Thinks are changing. Slowly and steadily. After my solo art exhibition im getting lot of contacts.
Im so excited and tired too. Lot of work to do. No wasting time. Its almost past mid night.
I feel Ganesh is slowly removing my Obstacles..:)
Not getting much time to check flickr. But this is where i started to feel im an artist with all the encouragement from great artist and photographers. So i feel happy to post my art work here though im busy.
I have seen hard times..good times are rolling because of my hard work. I want to dream and i will always be dreaming to reach the sky.
