Holidays are time for doing what you want to do, having a free mind and no stress at all, this is a perfect opportunity to do what you like (I mean photography) experimenting new stuff and different subjets, isn't it?
This shot came after some ordinary shots to a ferris wheel, before living I put on the camera my 50mm and at f1.4 I tryed to shoot, the wheel was moving ... well, I really liked the result and I took many of this I will upload in the future :-)
Hello friends!!! After more than a week of being absent on flickr, I am back with vengeance :=) I was so busy over the past week due to work related stuff so I am sorry if I wasn't visiting your streams during those days.
I will be catching up with you but it's going to be a slow process so please bear with me :)
Thanks for your visit, comments, and faves!
"Circle and Line" might be a better title given that there are four circles intersected by numerous lines...
This green machine isn’t going anywhere as it’s fixed to the post and can be swung across the road to restrict access to pedestrians (and, presumably, cyclists). At least, I think that’s what it’s for.
A bike from the Lime Bike sharing company waits for a rider in front of the Waterfront Fountain. Lime Bikes can be ridden for 30 minutes for a $1.00 and dropped off anywhere in the city. Behind the fountain is the 175 foot tall Great Wheel which can be ridden for 20 minutes for $14.00.
The fountain was designed by James Fitzgerald. It is made of textured bronze and was constructed in 1974. It was a gift to the city by the designers family after his death.
The ferris wheel at National Harbor marina, MD. Very brightly lit from sundown to late into the night, with a constantly changing light display.
The reflections on the water certainly provide for endless photo opportunities - as in my previous photo. The "residents" of the marina are significantly less enthusiastic about the garish and inescapable light displays.

Kind of sad to see only the giant wheel on the Munster Square in Basel. But then: I'm glad at least this is here. Of course, this year everything is different. Normally the whole place would be buzzing with people in the Christmas spirit. Merry Christmas and I hope you are all doing fine!
This photo was selected for the month of August in the Longmont Times-Call calendar contest. The top three selections for each month were chosen by judges at the newspaper and then voted on by the newspaper's readers. A huge thank-you goes out to those that voted for me. The calendar goes out on November 11th, along with a list of winners with their photos!
Enjoy!
