Ich hatte die Hoffnung bereits aufgegeben, nach der Meldung in der Whats-App-Gruppe, das die Ex-RBH-Lok 145 008 einen Autozug nach Emden bespannt, ging das Rechnen los.
Würde der Zug noch vor Sonnenuntergang sein Ziel erreichen.
Um 17:45 hatte ich die Hoffnung aufgegeben und war gerade dabei, die Kamera in der Fahrradtasche zu verstauen, als sich die Schranken noch einmal senkten.
2 Minuten später rollte der Zug im allerletzten Licht durch Gandersum.
'Christmas' was packed away today...the tree has been chopped up ready for recycling...decorations packed away for another year...so with a bunch of tulips to brighten up the room...I now feel ready to face 2017!
Although I'm not looking forward to Monday when our youngest heads off on her next adventures..this time to Australia and New Zealand (via short visits to Thailand and the Philippines to catch up with friends) so...for the next 12-18 months whats app, messenger and skype will be in constant use in our house!!

Bereits am frühen Nachmittag hatten die Whats App-Buschtrommeln den EGP-Holzroller 142 042 mit einem Autozug angekündigt, doch der ließ lange auf sich warten.
Aber dafür betrat er die Bühne in Bremen-Mahndorf dann auch im besten Licht.

Wenn die Sonne lacht und der Tag sich neigt ist man in der "Strandkurve" nie allein. So auch an jenem Freitag dem 13. August. Das Licht wurde immer besser nur waren die drei mit anwesenden Fotografen, die sich scheinbar nur vom Sehen kannten, einstimmig der Meinung das heute nix mehr fährt. Ich durfte mal mit in ihre Whats App Gruppen schauen...Tatsache, offensichtlich kein Betrieb aus Richtung Dresden. (außer Reisezüge). Ich hatte kein gutes Gefühl dabei aber meine Frau sagte das die Mehrheit nicht irrt und wir uns wieder aufs Fahrrad schwingen könnten....In Wehlen gab es dann das Lehrstück zum Thema Mehrheitsmeinung garniert mit ordentlich Sound in Richtung Bad Schandau (die Uhr zeigte 18.00) Mit offenen Mund stand ich da...Meine Frau erkannte den Ernst der Lage und meinte das unterzuckerte und dehydrierte Männer über 40 sich manchmal Dinge einbilden....Na dann ist ja gut!!! So ganz konnte ich an Einbildung aber nicht glauben und legte mich Tags darauf nochmal auf die Lauer. In der Gegenrichtung, zur gleichen Stunde, gab es im Streiflicht unterhalb des Lilienstein mehr als nur ein Trostpflaster.

Can't for the life of me figure out what app I was using for these collages. Probably 2D or Procreate, but I don't find any evidence in the galleries of either app on my device.
...and take those 'garden bird shots'...(in our back garden to the left!) and use my laptop...yes I still use a laptop! and a mouse!! as does my husband who sits diagonally opposite...red wine, plants and candles...a given...( the wine not every night! we do know the rules..a few nights off recommended!) android phone...yes...but only because we needed (or were persuaded to use!) whats app etc to communicate with our daughters...table runner, a gift from our youngest bought on her 6 month travels through Central America...
You may have guessed I'm a bit bored today...so playing with camera effects etc ...and...I've also been wondering about....the clarity of some of my shots...is it me...am I seeing things as 'sharp'... when they're not? Is it my age, my eye sight, my camera...well if it's me...I think i may be heading down the Monet route...eye sight not brill...but Impressionism rules!!
...and perhaps I could start up a challenge to Candy MacAulay/Willa/ Lady Lens... with all my friends, contacts, with all flickr people.... to show where you sit...and create your lovely images! ;^) Ellyn ..you are exempted...:-)

The top one is about what apps I've been using over 3 days, while the bottom one is about how many steps I've walked in a day.
Fishing is a common occupation in Bangladesh. A fisherman face a lot of challenge in his work. Even though looking at his family he goes to the middle of the sea and don't know the return time. Two fishermen are fixing their net for catching fish. After fixing the net they will board on their boat and they will catch fish throghout the night. I was walking beside the sea beach and I saw them fixing the net. After watching the enchanting beauty of sunset I visualize a frame inside my mind. Within a very short time I captured the shot as they were heading towards the boat for catching fish. This is captured at Kuakata in Bangladesh. This is the place where you can see both the sunset and sunrise from sea.

66623 Lest We Forget passes Cossington, working 6Z46 15.09 Trowse Yard - Barrow Hill Up Siding no. 1 stone empties.
This was not my intended location for this train, especially as I've photographed this angle several times - including this loco when it was in Bardon Aggregates blue and named Bill Bolsover (see this picture). I'd planned to get it at East Goscote, where I had not yet done the evening (north side) shot using the pole. However, for some reason the camera failed to fire when I pressed the shutter release, despite a couple of test shots while the pole was raised working correctly. (I'm not exactly sure what went wrong, but think I might have pushed the lock slightly forwards as I tried to take the shot - and the camera fired perfectly after the train had passed.)
While I had been waiting at East Goscote (I was there in loads of time as there was not much else to do!), the level crossing failed: essentially, after a westbound Cross Country service passed, the barrier on my side raised correctly but the other one stayed down and the lights continued to flash. I telephoned the signaller (East Midlands ROC) using the crossing telephone, and also mentioned the problem on a Whats App group of railway photographer friends. One of those friends updated me when 6Z46 had passed Frisby, and when my shot had failed I sent a quick message to say so... and had an immediate reply to say, "See you at Cossington" - at which point I realised I could probably have a second stab. 6Z46 had been twelve minutes early at Frisby, although had crawled for most of the way to East Goscote and then stopped (or pretty much stopped) at the crossing in case road users were ignoring the lights (although the raised barrier had correctly lowered when an eastbound train had approached and had remained down, and Network Rail staff had also arrived on the scene - and were assisting me in turning drivers round!); but it still had to stand time at Syston, and I arrived at Cossington just before it set off from there (about two minutes behind schedule).
I then did manage the shot at East Goscote, on the Freightliner sand train from Middleton Towers less than three-quarters of an hour later, by which time the level crossing had been reset and was working properly again.

Lassahn/gc. Was die sogenannte „Kritische Infrastruktur“ genau ist, weiß man, wenn sie ausfällt.
Dabei geht es nicht nur darum, ob der Pizzalieferant kommt. Die Toilettenspülung funktioniert wegen Wassermangels nicht mehr. Auch Dusche und Wasserhahn bleiben trocken. Kassen, Geldautomaten und Online-Banking – Fehlanzeige. Tanken, Heizen und die Lebensmittelversorgung fallen aus. Internetkommunikation, Smartphone, Festnetztelefone sind tot. Keine E-Mails, kein Whats App, keine SMS, kein Social Media. Vor den Häusern türmt sich der nicht abgeholte Müll. Polizei, Rettungskräfte und Behörden sind dauerhaft überbeansprucht. Krankenhäuser, Arztpraxen und Pflegeheime sind überlastet. Radio, Zeitung, Fernsehen sind nicht mehr permanent verfügbar. Und auch die Wirtschaft kommt zum Stillstand, weil Börsen, Banken und Versicherungen handlungsunfähig sind.
Für die meisten Menschen dürfte dieses Szenario ein Absturz in die Steinzeit sein. Damit genau dieses Schreckensszenario nicht in vollem Umfang wirksam wird, muss die Kritische Infratsruktur besonders geschützt werden. Das geschieht staatlicherseits. Wissenschaftler, Behören sowie staatliche/kommunale Einrichtungen gehen in Vorleistung beim präventiven Schutz von kritischen Gebäuden und Anlagen. Außerdem handelt sie in Konfliktfällen als Vor-Ort-Kräfte zur akuten Sicherung, zur Schadensbegrenzung und zum physischen Schutz Kritischer Infrastruktur. Doch damit ist es bei einer Krisenbewältigung allein nicht getan. Auch die Bevölkerung ist gut beraten, sich auf eine Krise vorzubereiten.
Wer sich auf eine Krisensituation vorbereiten möchte, kann sich an die Empfehlungen des Bundesamtes für Bevölkerungsschutz und Katastrophenhilfe halten. Die Behörde empfiehlt, Vorräte für circa zehn Tage vorzuhalten, um auf Ausfalllagen vorbereitet zu sein. Zur Vorsorge gehören:

2.200 kcal pro Person und Tag
Haltbarkeit bedenken
Lagerhinweise beachten
Allergien bedenken und
Lebensmittelunverträglichkeiten
