Holy geeze! I found me some thrifted tights that actually fit!!
I went into depth about it on my blog but to summarize....
- The raspberry tights look fantastic with the dress that I thrifted on the same trip.
- Despite his initial reservations, mister.boyfriend is thrilled by the new dress.
- My new dress made for a very comfortable morning while working on the computer.
When I left the house in the afternoon, I paired the dress with my vintage wool blazer. One of the few purchases I made off of the French Ebay, according to the seller the jacket was part of an usherettes uniform at a theater in Paris during the 1940's.
Dress: Thrifted
Leather belt: Thrifted (remixed)
Leather shoes: Thrifted (remixed)

it finally rained yesterday, after weeks of being promised thunderstorms to break the humidity.
-green tank top from urban outfitters (originally purchased for my xmas tree halloween costume in 2004, reissued in 2005)
-blue vest thing from buffalo exchange, originally from urban outfitters
-betsey johnson ruffle butt jacket from my online shopping problem dot com (ideeli, in this case)
-dav peacock print cowboy style rainboots: again, from my online shopping problem dot com (again, ideeli). It seems to me that these boots run a bit small. i can't wear thick socks with them, which is fine in summer, but in winter i'll be quite annoyed.
-black pants from who knows where.
I had this on with pumps and without the leggings, and I felt a little too prim - this felt a bit better...

I must admit to not really being particularly interested in the World Cup, but this outfit is a little nod to my ancestral homeland, England. The colour scheme would of course also work if my actual homeland of Canada ever made it to the World Cup, but that hasn't happened since '86.
Mexx top
Vintage giant enamel necklace
BCBG skirt
Aldo shoes

This one really didn't photograph well, but the front of the dress/top/tunic is a pretty drapey wrap. Oh well. I still like the silhouette, and the long-tunic-over-short-pants proportions. (Ahem, if I do say so myself.)
This is the kind of outfit that makes me wonder if it would qualify as "business casual" in any other organization. I'm in an workplace that has no dress code at all, and even in an outfit like this, I am usually one of the most dressed up.
