I'm not sure that a high-waisted bubble skirt is the most flattering thing I could possibly wear, but I still love this skirt.

tshirt - target, this is one of those new boyfriend tees and they're so soft & pretty. I don't know how they'll hold up in the wash, but I love it.

Just a slouching-round-the-house-on-a-Sunday outfit. It was kinda grey and showery outside so I mostly sat in, wwilfing, blogging and baking treats!
I'm still on my CHEAP-AS-I-CAN-GET-IT SECONDHAND CLOTHING trip (and don't see myself ever coming off it, to be honest).
EARRINGS: an end-of-course gift from one of my former Creative Writing students. You can barely see them here, but they're mosaic-style enamelled hoops with roughly the same colours in them as the top.
TOP: I got this in the WIN store in Victoria, BC when I was there last summer. I think it was nine dollars. Massive bell sleeves and a great print - it's early 1970s I think. I'm still unsure how to wear it as it makes my torso look super long.
SKIRT: I just got this yesterday for the bargain price of ONE POUND in a Cancer Research thrift store. It's a UK 18 so it's kind of baggy on the waist (!), but too bargainous to miss. I've been looking for a flattering denim skirt forever, too.
SLIPPERS: Class-ay, I know. These were a Christmas gift from Lovely Boyfriend this past Christmas and I basically live in them. They're made by Oxfam. Uber-fluffy.
Total outfit cost: about Β£8!! Yay!
Yesterday I went buying food at KAISERs, dressed all in black, except my big bag in shocking orange. There's a triangular yellow sperm-sign on it. The pretty bourgeois people in my neighborhood stared at it as if it was something forbidden. Maybe they also noticed the attached little "CONDOM" bag. Not adequate for a married woman with four kids, hehe.
The Shirt I bought on a concert of one of my favourite German musicians: www.stoppok.de. The writing on it means: Accidentally cool. :-)
More explanations in the notes.
This outfit's inspiration definitely goes to Monochroma Chic (www.monochromachic.com/2013/01/2012-in-review.html) - I've definitely seen scarves worn as ties before but something about this one me feel compelled to do it right away.

again, with the chance of thunderstorms and the weatherproof cowboy peacock boots. i did not get caught in the rain this time, so my feet just ended up overheating. i have thus decided to stick to sandals in the hot hot days of summer, and just deal with my wet feet, if they should happen to slop through some puddles.

June 9, day 3 of the Capsule Wardrobe Challenge
I picked this tunic deliberately for the challenge, because I knew I could get at least two very different looks out of it - Monday I wore it tucked it in to a belted skirt.
