"Was it a vision, or a waking dream?
Fled is that music:—do I wake or sleep?"
- Keats
I have a new write-up on my blog about the square crop.
I think I'll be around a little bit more now :-D I have really been into floating/levitation images, I think I might play around with a couple more today. Only problem is finding a space to do it in! Must venture outside...
Thank you all for your kind wishes about starting my new career...just the push I needed to get out there and go for it.
Almost an hour late - sorry.
I don't like the result. Far too pink. And an annoying background.
I hope next time it'll be better.
You have a brand new home now
But it’s so poorly built
Every time the wind blows, the walls and floors shake
And you think you’ll lose your balance completely
You have a brand new home
But the walls are not soundproof
You hear every scuttle and skitter
Each whistling moan
You have a brand new home
And you’re trying to feel excited
That weightlessness that comes
From being open to change
But all you can think of
Is you can’t quite remember
Why you ever left your old home
You aren’t floating. You’re trapped!

with you, I flourish into greatness,
extend my arms into a misty light,
making my future path seem weightless...
Whispered Elegance, Untamed Desire
by small fashion
Draped in a wisp of satin and lace, I am the very embodiment of temptation—coquettish yet commanding, like the lingerie-clad sirens of the Belle Époque, who knew that the art of seduction lay in the delicate balance of what is revealed and what remains a mystery.
This nuisette lace mini caresses my skin with the weightless luxury of a 1920s flapper’s silk slip, yet clings to my curves like a whispered promise, reminiscent of the scandalous 18th-century chemise à la reine, which dared to liberate the female form. The delicate lace tracing the neckline—so reminiscent of Madame de Pompadour’s boudoir indulgences—flirts with the possibility of being undone, of slipping off my shoulders with a lover’s touch.
But this is more than just a vintage reverie—it is the future of sensuality. Crafted in original mesh, this piece sculpts itself to my body like a second skin, ensuring a flawless fit across a variety of shapes and forms. The fully functional HUD puts complete customization at my fingertips, allowing me to slip into a palette of desire—from sultry reds and deep blacks to soft blushes and cool pastels.
The added choice between Blinn Phong for a matte, understated elegance and PBR shine for a luminous, light-catching effect gives me the power to shift between soft seduction and bold, high-gloss allure.
This nuisette is meticulously designed to embrace the most exquisite mesh bodies, including:
Larax
PetiteX
Legacy
Perky
Bombshell
Reborn
Waifu
Every delicate curve, every languid stretch is enhanced, never constrained. The fabric moves with me, just as the most skilled maîtres couturiers once tailored Parisian gowns to the bodies of their muses. Whether lounging in decadent repose or slipping into the night with an air of untouchable mystery, this piece ensures I am the very essence of romance and desire.
And as I stretch out, wrapped in satin and lace, my kitten’s presence is undeniable—soft, eager, and demanding attention. It longs to be stroked, adored, utterly worshipped. Will you be the one to tame it… or will you let it play?
Tonight, I wear small’s nuisette—and with every step, every glance, I write a new chapter in the history of desire.
What will you do when I let the lace slip just a little more?

Hagia Sophia's dome seems rendered weightless by the unbroken arcade of arched windows under it, which help flood the colourful interior with light. The dome is carried on pendentives—four concave triangular sections of masonry which solve the problem of setting the circular base of a dome on a rectangular base. At Hagia Sophia the weight of the dome passes through the pendentives to four massive piers at the corners. Between them the dome seems to float upon four great arches.
At the western (entrance) and eastern (liturgical) ends, the arched openings are extended by half domes carried on smaller semidomed exedras. Thus a hierarchy of dome-headed elements builds up to create a vast oblong interior crowned by the main dome, a sequence unexampled in antiquity.
The structure has been severely damaged several times by earthquakes. The dome collapsed after an earthquake in 558; its replacement fell in 563. There were additional partial collapses in 989 after which an Armenian architect named Trdat was commissioned to repair the damage and again 1346. In the era of Süleyman the Magnificent, Mimar Sinan (Sinan the Architect) built extra attachments to prevent it from collapsing.
All interior surfaces are sheathed with polychrome marbles, green and white with purple porphyry and gold mosaics, encrusted upon the brick. On the exterior, simple stuccoed walls reveal the clarity of massed vaults and domes. (Wikipedia)
through the lens, the lines blur between sky and architecture. here, at hudson yards, new york's vessel stands as a shimmering labyrinth of reflections and stories. the mirrored panels fragment reality, pulling the clouds down into the city’s heart while skyscrapers loom like guardians of an urban dreamscape. this frame holds a paradox: something massive, yet weightless; a place where the infinite sky touches the human-made grid. it’s not just a view, it’s an invitation to reflect—literally and figuratively.
i lean against the wind, pretend that i am weightless
and in this moment, i am happy. HAPPY.

This image of the Moon was taken by amateur photographer Dylan O’Donnell as the International Space Station passed by at 28 800 km/h. At such speeds the weightless research laboratory was visible for only about a third of a second before returning to the dark skies.

Another view of the countryfield of La Mancha, located between Pétrola and Corral Rubio (Albacete, Spain), with its characteristic early spring colours. Both ridges, combined with the low late afternoon light, gave rise to two well defined leading lines that generously dictated to me the composition ;-)

"Every day is the happiest day of my life": I invented this mantra to live with what has been given to us. My best day is the one when I am there, here and now, listening to the music of silence, the music that comes from afar, that begins with the mechanical breath of the ventilation of my kitchen, continues with the breeze in the trees, the murmur of the clouds floating in the sky, and takes its origin from beyond the hundreds of billions of stars of the galaxy and the hundreds of billions of galaxies to the borders of the light years; a very small low melody, a vibration of two point seven three degrees Kelvin. It is a vertical movement, from the pole star to my belly, which connects me to the world, fills me with love, forgiveness for myself and for others, surrendering to what is rather than to nothing. Music is the language of God, there is none other.
It was with this mindset that I stepped into Second Life, quickly labeled an “artist” and suffering the inevitable stab wounds. I am a storyteller of the true stories that I have imagined. I suspect that to declare my faith in a unique and alcoholic God, One but whom one could see beyond Him; to talk of my despair in the face of the human being, unable to interpret his score in the concert of life on earth; to tell of my sadness to see our earth, our walled garden, our paradise, drying up like a final attempt to extinguish our devastating species; to express all this freely, as I felt it, with what was given to me as material - pixels, animesh, objects, avatars, layers, textures, transparencies - could offend some, even arouse hatred in them, through their simple intellectual laziness. I say: it is not my business, I am looking for weightlessness. With all due respect to the embittered, who will always display a smile for the occasion, in my melancholy, every day is the happiest day of my life.

Listen In The Arms Of An Angel - Sarah McLachlan
Spend all your time waiting for that second chance
For the break that will make it ok
There's always some reason to feel not good enough
And it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction oh beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
They may be empty and weightless and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight
In the arms of an Angel fly away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here
So tired of the straight line, and everywhere you turn
There's vultures and thieves at your back
The storm keeps on twisting, you keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack
It don't make no difference, escaping one last time
It's easier to believe
In this sweet madness, oh this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees
In the arms of an Angel far away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
In the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here
You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here
Many famous female singers have originated from Canada, like Joni Mitchell and k.d. lang. Sarah McLachlan is one of the latest success stories. Her sensual voice and natural elegance allow for each of her songs to be an escapade into a fantasy world. Her warmth and soft character make her one of the nicest performers in the business.

In my dreams I see clouds
They tell me it's because I'm
Confused
Or Sad
Or that my future is foggy.
I tell them I see clouds
Because I a flying
Because I am weightless among them
Because I am free.

the glass wall is a membrane between time. behind it, the fossil of a giant, frozen in eternity. in front of it, shadows passing by, flickering, almost weightless. the words glow, but they are not meant for the living. the city moves on in the background, indifferent, unbothered. somewhere, a bus pulls away. somewhere, a child yawns.
captured at plaza escultor juan de ávalos in madrid, this photo freezes a perfect skateboarding moment â a split second between ground and air, gravity and weightlessness. the black-and-white palette emphasizes the graphic power of the jump, drawing attention to the silhouette of the skater and the hovering skateboard. the sharp shadows on the ground mirror the fluid motion and add an extra dimension to the image. the dark, empty background intensifies the sense of isolated energy and pure focus. in this suspended instant, everything seems to stand still â a tribute to the art of skating and those moments where everything feels just right.
Portraits in Bali series.
Continuing the love of water, weightlessness and blue here is another portrait of the gorgeous Bekha Lafrankie.
My feet are back on cool (freezing) English soil and to say I'm missing Bali would be an understatement. If I didn't have photographs and silly videos with the lovely friendships I made then I could almost pass it off as a beautiful rainbow coloured dream. I'm so glad I put myself forward for it and set off on such a long journey towards a month with people that I'd never met but whom I'd known only through flickr and facebook. I felt everything good.. inspired, alive, carefree, happy and truly blessed to be surrounded by so much colour and friendship. It's definitely made me braver and I'm already making plans for next year. Where would you recommend I go next?

I was finally able to take the plunge underwater thanks to my new gear (Equinox, for those asking!). It is amazing how a better camera and underwater system can drastically effect the clarity of the image...okay, okay, I know that is nothing new but I can still marvel over the fact that I got something in focus ;-) Here's a pic of me shooting in the water yesterday: twitpic.com/53ved8
I created this in preparation for my underwater workshop next weekend. I love underwater photography. There is something so carefree about it, yet at the same time suffocating. There are such wild juxtapositions in it: grace vs. struggle, weightlessness vs. drowning.

Take me to your fantasy
Ravish me in your dreams
Across the universe we touch
Fueling stars, weightlessly floating in eternity...

“The night beyond the window was still, mordant white snow, punctuated only by the eerie dark of the trees, gumshoeing their way along the edge of the path outside. Their skeletal fingers clawed up at the stars, held down by an insidious, weightless lacing of snowflakes. I gazed idly at the moon and wondered if it truly had the power to sway the will of men.” ― Hazel Butler:

– Pooh Bear {A.A. Milne}
|| T h e m e : O u t d o o r ||
Pooh Bear was one of me and my son's favourite books and videos to enjoy while he was growing up...I just love Pooh Bear's never-ending need for honey, Tigger's bouncy bouncy tail, Eeyore's negativity, Piglet's weightless flights, Kanga's motherly ways, Roo's enthusiasm, Rabbit's over productiveness, Owl's wisdom (of course) and last but not least Christopher Robin's imagination....Josh's favourite was Tigger, he had a little Tigger about the size of a palm and he would put himself to sleep most nights while running the tag between two of his fingers until he fell asleep.
PS Josh is now 15...thinking about Pooh and friends even now still makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

Easy to Assemble // John Marriott // 2005 Installed 2006 Painted Metal and Wood Cambridge Sculpture Garden
This sculpture presents the familiar structure of a garden shed in a context that is innovative and unexpected. Engineered for stability, the work is seemingly precarious and weightless, reminding us that things are not always as they seem. Originally commissioned by the Toronto Sculpture Garden, this piece was donated by the Toronto-based artist.
