These ones have been left with their tips uncut.

Always good to see turkeys in Turkey (although here they are called Hindis, as if they were Indians), and never better to see them than on Christmas Day. Just a pity that they do not seem to be on the menu...

Kondh means 'inhabitants of the hills'. The Dongoria call themselves 'Dongran Kuan' or 'Drili Kuan'. Dongoria women use 2 pieces of cloth (Kapda-Ganda), each 3-4 feet in length and one and a half feet in width. The first is wrapped round the waist with a knot in the front. The second piece covers the upper part of the body like an apron. The women have very distinctive hairstyles and are very fond of beautifying themselves with a variety of ornaments.

Signs of local art. Quite a lot of locally manufactured works of art are sold. These could be signs for other shops. Many locals also share in the "wealth" of tourism with homemade products until the tourist season comes to an end. Certainly, some very creative made and these signs cleverly created.
