The Courses
Stone lithography courses are organised several times a year both at weekends and on weekdays. They are suitable for artists with or without previous experience of printmaking . Typically, participants are art students, art teachers, college lecturers, serious amateurs and professional artists in other media. As the number of places on the courses is kept to a maximum of four, each participant is encouraged to explore the medium in the way which is most appropriate to his or her own interests and experience, ranging from an introduction to the main technical processes of stone lithography, including preparation of stones, principal drawing and painting techniques and materials and printing skills, to more specialised subjects such as colour and transfer lithography. Other course formats and dates are negotiable: for example, a recent one day course was run for curators from the Word & Image Department of the V&A Museum.
Its unusual for this train to run on a Saturday and its normally been a solid Freightliner turn, so it makes a pleasant change to get a DB red class 66 over Porthkerry. Here 66192 is seen in charge of 6C93 10:39 Cwmbargoed Opencast Colliery to Margam Terminal Complex.
If there's one event you must always consider going to then it has to be the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust's Annual Open Weekend in October. It's an extremely well run and family friendly event with around 180 vehicles to see and enjoy. There are two frequent bus routes to sample the buses plus six themed tours involving up to five vehicles on each. The event is very popular with enthusiasts from far and wide attracting many, like myself, from the south of England!

It's Tuesday already, but this is what last weekend looked like.
I don't usually show this much of the inside of my home -- the mess (just the tip of the iceberg here), peeling window paint, falling apart crafts, clashing colors, and all. Makes me feel vulnerable, but I love seeing others' photos like this, so I'm putting myself out there.
We had some wonderful weather over the weekend so I grabbed a few outdoor photos. I'm still waiting for this girl to tell me her name. I've been calling her Lottie in the meantime. >.<

These roses are very special to me, as are all the flowers Mitch gives me, but they are made even more special because he Also gave flowers to my mother when he met my parents last weekend. Look for an upcoming blog entry about that very, very special day..:)

I had a quick look at our weather and as you can see we are in for a cold Saturday and a snowy Sunday, we are above 1000m so it's going to snow here right in Oberon, I have to see it to believe it. It sure would be nice if it did, Photo opportunities.
Sharonville, Ohio. Seen at this weekend's HorrorHound convention which is a celebration of monster and horror films. We all need a good excuse to dress up and many of us can't wait until Halloween.

So this was a crazy awesome few days cause I went to not one, not two but three different flea markets, haha. Mum wants a very specific sugar bowl so that's mostly what we were looking for. We didn't find one! but we found a candy bowl exactly like the sugar bowl she wants, only being a candy bowl it's way too big to be a sugar bowl, lol :)
The left group was all a single grab bag- someone had a very 90s Barbie childhood :] I only know that the redhead in a wedding dress is Jewel Hair Mermaid Midge (the blue mermaid outfit is hers), a gorgeous girl that I've been after but only managed to find a bald one until now. Oh and the pale blonde on a BB body is the basic doll from Barbie in a Fashion Fairytale.
