So somehow I managed to get sick. And I don't like my photos right now, so I'm not even gonna attempt to take more photos until I feel better.
Week 5 was a very long week. It seem as though it would never end. Also. I stretched my ear to a 6 gauge this week............(hurts so bad)
It was the week of grandmoms. Ryan's mom was here all week spending awesome quality time with Olive. Her happy personality really shined and she was dishing out smiles all week. She's really been stretching her vocal range and loves having conversations with you. As we were driving Ryan's mom to the airport, my parents were driving in to celebrate Mother's Day with us. It was great to have so much love in the house this past week. Not only do we enjoy having our family around but Olive is still waking up every 2-3 hours during the night so it's nice to have an extra set of hands and the possibility of a little extra sleep to help us recharge.
This week has been hard.
Things that seemed so certain are completely gone....and another major hit to the heart from the one, who for reasons that don't make sense, still possess it completely.....
I really need a boost of good news....something that make me feel validated in my decision....
Closing the pool heralds that summer has ended and - well that makes my wife Donna sad - which has a direct downhill effect on me . . . .
This week i'm feeling good.
Went camping this weekend that helped a bit. Its just something about that place that makes me want to smile. I was going to take a really artsy picture but I just said "screw it, Imma laugh!" :D
Week: October 25-31, 2009
Pic: Oliver Purroni Peru aka our new kitten and the pumpkins we carved.
Things to remember this week: first time carving a pumpkin in 5 ish years, making cat playground furniture, falling in love even more deeply with Peter, planning a getaway for our 4 year anniversary, planning on being sexy jackie chan for halloween but plans being ruined by working the entire day. The costume would have been epic. LOL! Oh and drinking AWESOME expensive margaritas and being drunk by 8pm... how come people never answer when ur drunk dialing at 8:30pm?? Oh well, I talked to my momma! I miss my family... *sigh
Not looking forward to: working 30 hours in the next 2 days...
here I go! :)
Happy Halloween!
Been keeping super busy these days with shoots, but I'm not complaining! This is from a wedding I shot last week at The Look Out Point Inn. Beautiful bed and breakfast with a lovely view of the lake. A great place for intimate weddings in case you were wondering.
Wednesday card protector details. "Week in the Life" is by Ali Edwards, part of here Embracing the Everyday brushes here: www.designerdigitals.com/digital-scrapbooking/supplies/pr.... I cut up some kraft envelopes I had and used them as the base for my daily tabs.
Ryan spoke at a conference last weekend in Chicago leaving Olive and I alone together for 49 hours. Or we would have been alone together if Grammy and Gaigai didn't come to our rescue. While Ryan was gone I found out that our parenting roles are perfectly suited for us. Having to perform night duty with Olive was hard! If she didn't sleep well, I questioned whether we were good parents. If she did sleep well, I worried about whether she was okay. We were both super happy when Ryan came home. Before he left, he cuddled and burped her and she gave him the sweetest smiles and she really hasn't stopped smiling since. Except during this photo shoot, because babies never really do what you want them to do.
I don't know if this really constitutes as "antique". I found these old home movies when I was cleaning out my mom's attic, getting ready to sell her house. I haven't watched them yet but I'm certainly looking forward to seeing what moments were captured here on film.
