I MADE IT. Wow. I can't believe it's been a year. On July 1, 2013 I thought that a 52 weeks project would be a cool way to motivate myself to shoot and upload more often. I learned that I am awful at uploading on time, but ,my commitment never wavered and I have grown so much. This project has helped to turn photography from my hobby into my passion.
National Moth Week celebrates the beauty, life cycles, and habitats of moths. “Moth-ers” of all ages and abilities are encouraged to learn about, observe, and document moths in their backyards, parks, and neighborhoods.
loving the sunny weather at the moment. did a shoot with my brother and one of his friends today, loved it.
contemplating starting a blog at the end of the month, thoughts?
fun. free. careless.
The Big Bad Wolf.
Week Three of Fifty Two
Life is a fairytale. Because just when you've rebuilt it, there's always someone there to blow your house down.
So today I went down to the gas station and got some smoke bombs for this picture! and got a new lens! I'll still upload on friday,
Gemma.
Made some photograms in the dark room this week may scan and upload one of them.
5th February - 11th February 2011
A six pack of Coke we purchased during the 100 Year Celebration of Ford back in 2003.
For the group 52 in 2014.
So the theme this week has to be PRIME.
You can interpret this how you like –
Use a prime lens
Go for primary colours
Stand in a prime position
Photograph the Prime Minister!
Let your imagination be your primary source of inspiration to find the prime target for your shot.
So I am using a 50mm prime lens for this water lily.
I love this so much. This week was amazing. I don't have time for a description, but I'll write one tomorrow, or when I upload an outtake from this shoot.
Have a great Monday everybody!

My Monday afternoon was greeted with a lovely package from New York city.
I love brown paper packages and gorgeous note cards, so this yummy print of Jennifer Causey's that I have loved for a long time, was opened with squeals of glee.
Thank you Jen! I love it, its going straight in a white frame.

This week @ Paper Cameras I will be interviewing some of my favourite Polaroid photographers. Check out the fabulous Cori Kindred's interview here and leave her some comment love!
We are moving in a month. We aren't moving far, less than a mile away, but that still means that everything has to be packed. My world right now is filled with boxes and bubble wrap and packing paper and the constant search for the tape and then for the sharpie to label the boxes I just packed! Here's a close-up of some of the packing paper.
For the Contrast theme at 52 of 2014.
I ran out of time to shoot this week, my planned shot was blocked by work & real life getting in the way!

Top: me
Bottom: MFayre
I was so fortunate to be matched with the extremely talented MFayre for Week 11. Our theme was one that we both struggled to come up with an image that properly portrayed the theme - or at least I did! I wanted to take an image that portrayed the literal definition of the word "perpendicular" - as in the geometry definition. I love how MFayre's image and mine work so well together! Brilliant!
This is a diptych project by a group of female photographers who have known each other a long time on Flickr. The project matches two of us together each week with a different theme to interpret how we want, on an individual basis. We then create a diptych using each of our photographs.
The results of the collabrations are being posted on a blog, which you can find here ...
☆ Pledge Week 2
Sunshine, sisterhood, and Sigma Xi Psi 🌸So grateful for the amazing bonds I’m forming with my line sisters and big sisters during rush week! ✨ The assignments are fun, the company is even better, and there’s no place I’d rather unwind than by the pool!!
we live in the past
and wait for the future
instead of realizing
that we’ll never leave the present
I have been part of an online forum for almost four years. about two years ago I started writing down what I did and felt like every day before I went to bed. those information are my diary and I saved them in that forum which stopped working four weeks ago. I thought I had lost those memories of the past two years forever and it made me realize that I should concentrate on the present more often. I’m trying to retain every little memory, I write down my thoughts, I take pictures. I want to be able to look back in twenty years and know what I’ve been like. but sometimes I just need to live, right here and right at this moment.
the good news is that I have all my texts back and I’m currently saving them to my computer.
this is Jenna, by the way. my new film camera I purchased on ebay. it was very cheap, so I just bought another one so that maybe one day I’ll have a big camera collection.
now say “Hi, Jenna!“ everyone. :)
