I think we are being invaded by tent caterpillars this year, there just seems to be more of them for some reason
Out sea kayaking with Portsmouth Canoe Club. We went from Stokes Bay to Fishbourne (Isle of Wight) and back again via a few buoys to work with the tide.
This yacht sailed past, and the light was catching on the boat and water. We also saw ferries in out out of Ryde and Fishbourne, the hovercraft in and out of Ryde, and a couple of massive ships. The conditions became quite lumpy on the return trip, but I survived the right way up throughout!
Another dewy misty morning being rural now we are surrounded by critters and evidence of critters.
I know I took a picture of spider webs yesterday but seeing this one this morning it was an opportunity I didn't want to miss especially with the edition of the water drops and refracted flowers.
I haven't used my macro lens all year and this guy wanted his portrait published :-)
Apologies to any arachnophobes. I'm sure it's no consolation, but he's really quite a small spider!

La memoria del curso 2017/18 de Radio ECCA en Fuerteventura, presentada hoy en el Consejo Asesor que se celebró en el salón de plenos del cabildo, recoge un significativo crecimiento en el número de personas que optaron por ECCA como centro para formarse. En total, 2608 matrículas en las diferentes acciones formativas del centro educativo, lo que se traduce en un crecimiento del 13,5 % con respecto al curso anterior. También aumenta el número de personas beneficiarias de proyectos de Acción Social, que ya supera las 3500 personas.
Marcial Morales, presidente del Cabildo de Fuerteventura, lideró hoy la reunión del Consejo Asesor, y demandó «nuevos ciclos online para facilitar la formación en las islas no capitalinas». Durante la celebración del Consejo Asesor, Amparo Osorio, directora gerente de Radio ECCA, asumió el compromiso, en nombre de la institución, de afrontar los nuevos retos planteados por los miembros del consejo. Por su parte, Lucas López, director titular de la entidad, consideró a Fuerteventura «como una de las islas con mayor implicación social tanto a nivel político, como empresarial y asociativo».
En la tarde previa al Consejo Asesor, se realizó el acto de entrega de diplomas a alumnado: 250 titulaciones de Graduado en Educación Secundaria a personas de tres promociones. Asimismo, y posterior a la entrega de títulos, tuvo lugar la inauguración de la exposición fotográfica realizada por los trabajadores de Radio ECCA en el área de Acción Social. La muestra es el reflejo del trabajo realizado en el territorio africano con cursos de alfabetización y educación en salud y seguridad alimentaria.
