We live in the house that my parents built. They were great gardeners, and planted a lot of tulips, which still enchant us every spring!!

We’ve had a busy Bank Holiday Weekend digging out concrete and rubbish from our garden and wheeling it up to a skip. I uncovered this piece of old glass and must have sub-consciously set it aside without even remembering this weeks task!

Please permit me to post another pier photograph. This one is on the Windsor, Ontario riverfront looking across the Detroit River to Detroit, Michigan.
As I looked across to Detroit, I noticed that most of the downtown buildings were dark, a result of the terrible COVID-19 crisis in our sister city. Well, the light at the end of this pier reminds me of an American motel chain, Motel 6, that in their old commercials would always end with the line: “…and we’ll leave the light on for you”. For many of us in the Windsor area, we are thinking of our neighbours, friends and relatives across this river during this hard time. We’ll leave the light on for you! Detroit Strong!

We're back from our trip to Connecticut to visit family. One perk of staying by the beach is I can just walk a short distance in the morning to watch and photograph the day's sunrise. A great way to start the day... Happy New Year!
Last weekend, one of the enchanting moments this winter was: minus 20 degrees outside temperature, a fog bench and slowly the sun turns on and after and after the fog bench. Fantastically cold, but crazy light.
We came upon a large Lion pride with many young cubs early in the morning. As their parents lay asleep these youngsters were playing around just like any kittens would. It was one of the best sightings we had on our Masai Mara trip.

We had perfect sunny weather while in Whistler this week.
This suspension bridge was part of a hike we went on. It was the bounciest bridge I've been on. I thought of setting up a tripod on the bridge to shoot the creek below, but that thought disappeared after a second or two :)
Today, back home, we finally have some rain that we so badly need.
