The Thamarassery-Lakkidi Ghat road, part of the National Highway [NH 212], which connects the region of Kerala south of Kozhikode district with Wayanad district. This scenic road is very well maintained and the view of the hills is a joy to behold.

The cavernous interiors of the cave are replete with stone carvings belonging to the Neolithic era,indicating the presence of a prehistoric civilization.
The center of the carving, where the light falls, is said to be the Lead of the people and these carving indicate the celebrations for their Lead who has hunted numerous tigers
