Our last sight before finishing our kayak trip at Marahau was Split Apple Rock. All the tour boats and water taxis take visitors to have a look at this.
We then paddled to Marahau as quickly as possible as the tide was going out and there is a big sand bar at low tide. We did have a fairly big portage but thank goodness some of our friends came to help.

I got to thinking about how much I carry on my daily commute ... and once I started to break it down it was quite stupendous.
here i must thank my sister for spending half an hour 'drowning' in the swimming pool while wearing a dress while on holiday. taken on a disposable waterproof camera, colour film. edited on photoshop.
