Nikonos is Nikon's brand name for a series of 35mm format cameras specifically designed for under-water photography.
The model 'V' shown above was produced from April 1986 through to October 2001.
6 interchangeable lenses were available, (15mm, 20mm, 28mm x2*, 35mm and 80mm). 2 new flashguns were duly introduced at the time of launch to compliment this model, (SB-102 and SB-103).
* One of the 28mm lenses was designated LW-Nikkor, meaning it was only for use above water.

Kantun Chi (“yellow stone mouth” in Mayan),is an exotic and relaxing paradise situated in the jungle of the Riviera Maya, the ecopark captivates visitors with impressive cenotes and the soft whisper of flora. Travelers that visit the underground rivers will be amazed by the crystal clear water and the millenarian rocks that create a unique atmosphere.

Fukushima-ken, Japan.
Under the shade of a clump of Mangrove trees off Scout Key (Spanish Harbor Key) near the quarry. It's hard to get a good shot in close due to the shade, especially when the visibility is low, but their is always plenty to see.
Some shots taken with the Nikonos 5 of my friends surfing. Used the 35mm lens and Kodak 200 C-41 developed at a mini-lab.

Our last sight before finishing our kayak trip at Marahau was Split Apple Rock. All the tour boats and water taxis take visitors to have a look at this.
We then paddled to Marahau as quickly as possible as the tide was going out and there is a big sand bar at low tide. We did have a fairly big portage but thank goodness some of our friends came to help.
