We have a Juvenile Pied-Billed Grebe here, man were they fun to watch. A family of six, we saw the mother diving for fish, she'd spend minutes under water; the babies would dive, but surface very quickly, obviously not quite the swimmers their mother is. Anyway, she'd pop up with a fish, or a frog, or a tad-poll and toss it to them, and they'd gobble it up. Watched it for hours!!

Ummm...no comment.

A late November photograph- the light at this time of year sometimes has a unique quality of wildness and age- the kind of light I might associate with King Lear on the heath. The Perimeter Institute is on the left, just outside the picture.
