Captured this with three RAW shots at -2..0..+2 EV. Digital blending in Photoshop CS6. I increased the overall saturation with Hue/Saturation in Photoshop. Curve adjustment to increase the overall contrast. 1 layer mask in soft light mode at 50% gray, using brush tool to lighten and darken some areas of the image, to bring out details. Topaz DeNoise to reduce noise.

my first visit to this part of Wales, so beautiful I will definitely return.

After 2" of rain the snow is gone and the creeks are up and now it's cold again. Took another walk in Sharon Woods to check on the creek's flow and wasn't disappointed.

Ricketts Glen State Park

I walked the dog through Lumsdale Valley in Derbyshire today. It's easy to forget just how beautiful the waterfalls are there. I really must return soon, with a better tripod and NO dog!

The shot was taken with my Nikon D7200 and 35mm f1/8G lens. The only tripod I had in my bag was a Manfrotto Mini, but I did have a big stopper filter.

The original RAW file was very dark in the shadows (no flash in the bag either) so I processed the file in Photomatix Pro.

Michigan waterfall in the Upper P.

Aunque falta mucha agua por aquí también, estar enfrente de esta cascada por unas horas fue una gran experiencia para mí !!!

Being in front of this impressive waterfall was priceless for me although the lack of water was noticeable too. Loved the light that shone only for minutes, fortunately was able to catch it ... !!!

Gullfoss (Golden Falls) is a waterfall located in the canyon of the Hvítá river in southwest Iceland.

Gullfoss is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Iceland. The wide Hvítá rushes southward, and about a kilometre above the falls it turns sharply to the right and flows down into a wide curved three-step "staircase" and then abruptly plunges in two stages (11 m and 21 m) into a crevice 32 m (105 ft) deep. The crevice, about 20 m (66 ft) wide, and 2.5 km in length, extends perpendicular to the flow of the river. The average amount of water running down the waterfall is 140 m³/s in the summer and 80 m³/s in the winter. The highest flood measured was 2000 m³/s.

As one first approaches the falls, the edge is obscured from view, so that it appears that the river simply vanishes into the earth.

During the first half of the 20th century and some years into the late 20th century, there was much speculation about using Gullfoss to generate electricity. During this period, the waterfall was rented indirectly by its owners, Tómas Tómasson and Halldór Halldórsson, to foreign investors. However, the investors' attempts were unsuccessful, partly due to lack of money. The waterfall was later sold to the state of Iceland, and is now protected.

Sigríður Tómasdóttir, the daughter of Tómas Tómasson, was determined to preserve the waterfall's condition and even threatened to throw herself down. Although it is widely believed, the very popular story that Sigríður saved the waterfall from exploitation is untrue. A stone memorial to Sigriður, located above the falls, depicts her profile.

Together with Þingvellir and the geysers of Haukadalur, Gullfoss forms part of the Golden Circle, a popular day excursion for tourists in Iceland.

The best thing about photographing a waterfall illuminated by the sun is that a rainbow appears in the spray.

This is the tallest waterfall on the Wallace River. There are many waterfalls on here, this is the 265 foot drop.

Since we changed our plans after we left the house, I didn't have my wide angle lens or neutral density filter. Note to self: leave ND filter in bag!

Waterfall at the Golden temple unfortunately we to go into the Golden Temple- how sad that is!!!!

ASKRIGG MILL GILL WATERFALL.

Made sure to get some captures with my daughter there on the falls ... we had a great time shooting Ricketts Glenn together. Hope to Gettysburg soon with her ... we'll see if we can make that happen.

Increased the ISO to reduce the shutter time so she did not have to stoop still too long ... nice father that I am ;))

Tasmania, Australia. Shot under slightly difficult conditions, as the wind was blowing spray from the falls right at us. Still, I managed this, which was shot as a vertical panorama (stitched but then cropped later).
