Humm my favorite bit of Cane Hill has to be these monsters!!
Got to get in on that one for some scale!
Not an original idea, but I thought that with the aid of a tripod and some flash I would try this one out. Seems to work better in black and white. Pretty industrial, I guess.
La Vieille Valette is a squatted community in the south of France. People live there and rebuild the ruins of the old village, build new shacks, grow vegetables, maintain the environment around. It's a really beautiful spot and the people are cool. The whole thing seems to be run on generally anarchist principles and there's a really strong communal vibe - as well as heaps of kids and people of different ages.

So Mitten the Kitten finally gave in and let Ruffy out of the washing machine. He was completely under her spell now!

Walking by a cabin that was soon to be demolished , I peered through the window and spotted this antique washing machine
We enjoyed our visit to the Gold King Mine & Ghost Town the last time we were staying at Verde Valley Thousand Trails near Cottonwood, Arizona, so we went back again this trip to wander around once more. (12-01-31-1740)

The hub bearings wore out after 10 years hard service. Cheaper to get a whole new machine, so we did.

Or, I've not really been fussed about taking a photo today. However, today I've enjoyed a days leave which was in part to look after Juliana during Cat's induction bits. Tonight is the first guitar lesson for a long time, save for having missed last week's one. Ah, the slight sense of horror in seeing *people* after such a thing hasn't happened for ages.
the washing machine. So glad to have one of these to use when every I want. One of my co-workers still uses the laundry mat. I guess her home does not have space or a place for a washer & dryer hookup.

The machine was making a sound in the spin cycle like some was rubbing. Once I popped the top I saw that the flume for the bleach dispenser had somehow been mangled. I ended up removing this piece as I didn't really understand it's necessity. The filling dispenser has a funneled end that already delivers bleach to the outer tub. The one thing that this thing did seem to do it block the bleach dispenser backwashing during the drain/spin period.
The countdown lamp and the flash shone through the holes into the darkened room giving the impression of a party going on inside. So that's where the title comes from...
Die Countdown-Lampe und der Blitz haben durch die Löcher hindurch in den dunklen Raum geleuchtet, sodaß es schien als wäre in der Trommel eine Party im Gange. Daher der Titel...
The only rust spot on the machine anywhere almost. I took an emery board to rub this off and put a few dabs of gray Rustoleum on it, almost a perfect match.
Another roll of cheap expired 35mm film, first put in washing machine, then dried, before shooting.
