Canopy of a Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II (a.k.a. Joined Strike Fighter), seen during the open days of the Royal Netherlands Airforce at Volkel Air Force base, June 2019.
This photo was taken using an M.Zuiko 40-150mm pro lens and MC-14 1.4x teleconverter (@160mm).
Sunset at Flamborough Head lighthouse in mid February. Looking back to the sun, I used the square electricity substation to block the sun so it didn't flare out on the image. The light was soft and minimal, while the colour of the sky was warm and inviting.
After an exceptionally wet Winter in most of Australia, the plant life out in the 'bush' is growing rapidly. Now with the arrival of the warm to hot winds from the north, this vegetation is starting to dry. Only too soon the pointers on the fire danger rating boards will be moved from green and then towards the red and hopefully not beyond.

For this round of Kinky Event we're making our Naughty side noticeable with these not so subtle warning signs!
Only 1li each, theres something for everyone at this round of Kinky Event opening on the 28th of July -
But of course every now and then you could hear the whistle blowing as someone still "had" to go there
Nangyuan island, Gulf of Thailand.
Only a Local Authority would be daft enough to paint Double Yellows on a slipway into the sea! Having said that, they must have decided to do it because someone had parked on it at some point!
Gary went for the centre of the slipway, Steff went for the right hand side and I decided to concentrate on this oddity! Steff reckons I should have posted the portrait version but I'd already cropped it this way (although the other version appeals as well).

... this was the Britten-Norman Islander (BN) plane we were to take out to the island. The flight takes 8-9 minutes. The Aran Islands lie in Galway Bay.
A Victorian building undergoing renovation. I'd much rather see more of this than the wholesale demolition of stunning buildings.
Just look at the wear in those old limestone steps.

A massive red inflatable character, featuring a large silver heart and cute closed eyes, stands as a centerpiece at an outdoor event in Yumeshima, Osaka. People are seen admiring the installation on a sunny day.
I can't stop starring at this water sign. I see the water trying to break the sign every day, year after year. I see the sign helping people and boats to avoid danger. I see the sign telling me to stop, to think, to be calm before the next step. Like in life, you have to think before you take some actions. If you have to follow certain rules... But rules are there to be broken, aren't they? And this is the case in this picture.
I deliberately got the important parts of the picture in the thirds: the sky, the wave breaking and the foreground. But the sign is bang in the middle. I tried other compositions but it wasn't working. But somehow I like it so much that I just prefer the way it is. But there is one detail that for me makes this picture: the red part of the sign is slightly tilted compared to the horizon. Love it!
Post processing I just worked with Nik Color Effex and saturated the top part of the sign so it has more impact. Used Dfine to push some details and remove some annoying color noise and that was about it. What you guys think?
