'TAKING A WARNING TOO LITERALLY'.

A long stayer!

This little beauty really shouldn’t have been on site at Dunwich Cliffs in mid-November. It seemed to be taking the warning sign far too literally and ignoring its innate instincts to head south.

Maybe it didn’t realise it could FLY there!

Menacing warning sign at Notch trailhead, Badlands National Park, South Dakota, USA

The Notch Trail is just a short drive from the Cedar Pass Campground and Ben Reifel Visitor Center east down the Badlands Loop Road (otherwise known as Route 240). Visitors will see a turnoff for the Door, Window and Notch Trails that leads into a large parking lot. The trailhead for The Notch Trail begins at the south end of the lot.

The Notch Trail travels through a badlands canyon up to an overlook that gives extensive views over the badlands area on one side and the sweeping grassy Great Plains on the other.

The sea water looks static and the clouds look dynamic. And both look very smooth. Taken in Garry Point Park, Richmond, BC, Canada. This is a re-processed image.

Although at high tide, the sea is more of a concern!

In downtown Dallas the freeway appears (to an outsider at least) to form a line between downtown and deep ellum. It has lots of interesting lines, which I think is why I like this photo - that and the sign, which is one of those small reminders that although things seem familiar they're less so than one assumes based on current conditions.

Not all Movie Nights are created equal, as Stormtrooper Bruce has learned the hard way. After a long week without his favorite beverage, at the last minute STB decided on 'Plan B' when he learned Fett was back on board. Over the years, the guys have learned to 'just go with it' and not ask too many questions.

Fett: Well, lookie here, Chewie, our guests have finally arrived! And as promised they've brought their feeble bribes in hopes of joining us for Game Night!

TK-1110: Nice to see you, too! I see you haven't changed since the last time we got together. And, um, aren't you the one who requested burgers and brewskies?

STB: What he said! That cooler is crammed full of cold ones. But, if you don't mind, I think I'll just...

Fett: Whoa, Bro! Can't you read!?! Unless you want the fillings in your teeth to explode, do NOT plug in that coffee pot!

TK-432: What? You're assuming Dude has fillings?

TK-1110: Or, that he even has teeth?

STB: Hardee-har-har! Everyone's a comedian. My coffee brewer machine died last week, and I've gone all this time without a drop of coffee. I need my caffeine! So, undo your little trap and let me at it!

Fett: No can do bro! I'm here because I just set a trap for someone who has a big price on their head. Palpatine said I could hunker down here until I catch him, and in the meantime, he's making a list of Rebel Scum he wants me to pick up.

STB: OK. But what's that got to do with your coffee pot?

Fett: If I tell you, I'll have to shoot you, and I don't have that many friends to start with. Why not order some from the Mess Hall?

TK-432: Um, no one on this ship drinks that Morning Mudd they call coffee in the Mess Hall.

STB: What we have here is a failure to communicate. I need some brew, bro! You have a coffee pot! We have food, and you don't. So, why in the great galaxy are you being .... Oh!

Fett: Yes?

STB: You're messing with me again, right? You're so wrong for that!

Fett: Welcome to my dusty, rusted out cargo hold! Let's get this party started. And, btw, better drop that plug before someone gets hurt.

STB: You're still messing with me, right?

Chewie: Bereewe eoir fioe r9fjd! Croiewe Peoindf?

A bear warning sign on the way to Lofsdalen. Not a usually sight, at least not for me. It was the first time I ever have seen that.

Although this sign is most likely a warning to bicyclists about the steep downhill and subsequent sharp turn, drivers of automobiles obviously need to pay attention here as well.

"If it's a Florida body of water, it can hold an alligator. Swamps, ponds, ditches, creeks, rivers, swimming pools, stormwater drains, wetlands that are here today and gone tomorrow — all can have gators."

Kent Vliet, University of Florida, Zoology Professor

Even after living in Florida for more than two decades, I still find this fact startling. You could walk or swim anywhere in the UK and not worry about whether the local wildlife is going to sever an artery. It's just so much less bite-y over there.

This is the Coldham North facing manual crossing gate. Both gates were replaced in 2006 I think. No red bullseye on either gate. Note the gate was made for double track that once was. On the far right there is still a sign telling pedestrians to be aware of the trains. The last Train was in 2001. wisbechrail.org.uk/learn-more/
