Great altered cattle warning sign found just ouside Kirkcudbright. There aren't a lot of Galloway Belties around in Dumfries and Galloway since foot and mouth. Good to see someone celebrating them
I've been absent from Flickr for too long. Especially since I've still kept on taking photos. So, here is a dump of all the photos I've taken this last year that I haven't got round to uploading. Sorry there are so many of them all at the same time! I hope to get round to seeing what all my amazing contacts have been up to this last year as soon as I get a chance...
A few months ago, I asked to do a swap with Mia. We were planning a $15 swap and ends up that Mia was taking over a month to get everything ready when I was already done. She couldn't even take a picture of a preview for it.
She got upset and cancelled our swap.
Later on, I decided to apologize to her and continue on. She asked me for Mold Putty which is $15. I was thinking to just continue on with our previous plan.
I asked her for the Mamegoma decotape. Yes, she did get one, but she tells lies saying that she went 1 hour and 1/2 to go and get another one for me when she just got it from a swap. She even said that it was $5! No mini decotape is worth That much! Maybe $3 at most.
What she offered me wasn't fair compared to what i was going to give her. I never asked her to specifically make me anything. She offered it to me. She complains how I only have memos and stickers in my swaps all the time. The only reason that they are like that is because my partner & I planned to do a swap with just loose stationeries. I love swapping for things like that and my partners enjoy it too or else we wouldn't even do it.
She lied saying that I called her things trash. I NEVER said that to her, all I said was that I just didn't think the things she is giving me is worth it/fair. She only kept bugging me over and over to see if i got her the mold putty.
She is no flaker but an unfair swapper. I'm just warning future swappers that Mia is not a good partner to ask to swap with. You don't need to agree with me but ask the other swappers that I know who also has swapped with her. They can tell you what has happened before, their expierence.

There are a bunch of switchbacks to get you up to the saddle, then the fun begins ... depending on what you think is fun.
There's a warning sign up there so this must be fun, right?

Red is the color of warnings, and there is a lot to be aware of at this road and rail crossing section.

Let's send out our thanks to all the corporate liability attorneys we meet for keeping us safe with warnings like these. The German company that made my pacemaker didn't even bother to mention the potential danger from bubble levels.

Biltmore Village in Asheville, NC.
Massive floods hit this area of Asheville in September of 2004 when Hurricanes Frances and Ivan came through the region.
Here is an excerpt from The "Mountain Xpress" on October 10, 2007...
"The back-to-back storms, though considerably weakened as they crossed our mountains, still brought floods nearly as devastating as the monumental 1916 deluge. Frances alone dumped 23 inches of rain on Mount Mitchell’s flanks. And the usually placid Swannanoa River, which rises near the high mountain and flows through south Asheville to join the French Broad, became a malevolent force. From Black Mountain to Biltmore Village, the floodwaters tore out trailers, stranded livestock and motorists alike, inundated businesses and ruined livelihoods. In Asheville, the destruction was particularly severe in Biltmore Village, due to its low elevation.
All told, the two storms wreaked $200 million worth of damage in Western North Carolina during a two-week period, according to the National Climatic Data Center."

It's not every day you look up in your camping ground shower to see (right next to a vent) ASBESTOS warnings.. better a warning that no warning i guess.
Couldn't help take a photo of this shack near the power station at Lake Coleridge. Strange to see it only locked by a small lock...
Most PC cultures would probably have it under several heavily locked gates, with guard dogs, and guards with SMG's.
Right across the boarder from Spokane, WA is Post Falls, which the Spokane River runs through and is a great spot to get some amazing shots!
Tour takes the warning, in which there are rouge waves in the ocean, into consideration, by calling out Dian and Lapis, to his[Tour] location.
