Star Wars Identities is a temporary exhibition which was previously in Australia. This interactive experience allows the visitor to build their own Star Wars story by making choices at various stations using an electronic wristband and headset. I wish I had more time to thoroughly go through each item, but I really enjoyed this exhibit.

Carnoustie War Memorial.
The Carnoustie war memorial takes the form of the freestone full scale sculpture of a soldier mourning over a grave which surmounts a high pedestal. The pedestal is made of dressed sandstone and is flanked by curving walls bearing the granite tablets listing gthe names of the dead, and terminating in pylons. The memorial stands on a raised area approached by two curving stairs on either side.
The sculptor was T. Beattie of Edinburgh.
The monument stands in the memorial gardens in the High Street.

Near Murfreesboro TN. Site of a bitter battle between Union and Confederate armies on December 31st 1862 and January 1st 1863. Muddy waters of the river tinged red by recent rains.
Now the sun's gone to hill
And the moon's riding high
Let me bid you farewell
Every man has to die
But it's written in the starlight
And every line on your palm
We're fools to make war
On our brothers in arms
Brothers in Arms - Dire Straits
I took this long before September 11th and it's a scene of something you'll never see again. Sail boats are never allowed to get this close to Navy piers in San Diego and the Navy piers themselves are now heavily guarded with all sorts of protection, which may include a floating barrier around the pier and the ships within. But, anyways...
This was taken years ago in San Diego bay, by the 32nd Street Naval Base. My ship was leaving, heading out to sea, and we were passing the base on the way towards downtown. I spotted a sailboat approaching. I looked at the beautiful pure white sailboat and the great big grey warships and thought, "You know, that would look cool." As the sailboat passed in front of me, we also passed a pier, so I caught the sailboat in a pefecet spot. I managed to place the boat right inbetween the two Navy ships.
I love the contrast between... everything. I mean, physically, I love how bright the white looks agains the dull grey ships. I love the constrast in meaning, as well, because you can think of what each boat is used for.
One is used for War. The other for Peace.
Sorry for the lack of quality. The negative became damaged and I didn't have a good camera at the time. Please don't judge the pic too harshly based on the grainy quality alone. I think this picture deserves better than that, despite the grainy texture. It's hard hard for me to call this just a "snapshot" when it captures a unique moment and has so much meaning.

The pilot's harness is made from masking tape, and the steps and access platform are photo-etched items.
It is enclosed in a cheap 10 inch square photo frame with a home-made hangar floor base.
