This was a RAW file I took and exported into three separate files to make the HDR image.
Thank you all so much for the wonderful comments.

The Worthing War Memorial stands outside the Town Hall in Chapel Road and contains 660 surnames and initials. The Memorial includes most of the men from the Parishes of Broadwater, Durrington, West Tarring, Heene St. Pauls Church Memorial in Chapel Road and the Roman Catholic Church. Those men not included are mostly to be found under a separate entry for those Parishes. This entry does not claim to be a complete picture for Worthing as many men were not included originally, but the main memorial is now recorded for the First World War, the Second World War has a further 404 names and there are three names listed for other conflicts.
The First World War section of the memorial was unveiled on 11th April 1921 by Field-Marshal Sir William Robertson. It takes the form of a stone plinth on top of which is a soldier made from bronze holding a rifle in his left hand and his helmet aloft with his right hand, the base is covered with the debris of war. The plinth is surrounded by a low chain and has a wreath at the top of each face. The effigy of the soldier is the same figure that is used on the Chertsey, Ebbw Vale, Truro and King Edward Street Post office, London, memorials.
The inscriptions on the memorial read as:
OUR GLORIOUS DEAD

ALSO IN MEMORY OF
THOSE WHO FELL IN THE WAR
1939 - 1945

Hope everyone has enjoyed this memorial week-end. This photo is in appreciation to all who have served to preserve our rights as people. This US Cemetery and Memorial is just south of Florence Italy and covers about 70 acres. Most of those buried here are from the Fifth Army who died in the fighting that followed the capture of Rome in June 1944. It is managed by the American Battle Monuments Commission. Info from Wikipedia. A beautiful setting tucked along a river and surrounded by rolling hills. Chose this point of view as all shadows point to a cross. This photo was taken in 2005 while wandering around Italy and Greece.
Showdown: Why China Wants War with the United States arrived with today's mail. Looks like a good book.
THE WAR ON WASTE...please People, help relieve landfill by using a reusable mug. Takeaway mugs are not recyclable because of the plastic lining so it all goes to landfill...millions of tonnes of it....this mug came from Officeworks...BPA free white plastic, has the green band so that you can hold it while hot. There are many more in various stores.
This mug is an 8oz size, not too big to carry with you in case you feel like a takeaway coffee...many bistros are happy to give a discount.

No idea which specific uniforms these are - I'm guessing they are mostly French - but maybe also German. I stayed in the hotel in the main square that was used by the Nazi command in WW2.
Anyone have any ideas?
Long unimaginable, now reality again. A new era begins. I am deeply concerned and I know what humanitarian misery is beginning now. It may sound helpless, but let's give peace a chance.

Alyth War Memorial This monument is in tribute to those from Alyth district who fell in The Great War. The centrepiece of the monument is a large sculpture surmounting the plinth. The sculpture depicts two figures, a small figure of Nike standing in the palm of a much larger female figure, possibly Athena.
So I was pushed to build something for Dronuary and decided to make something from Star Wars, "surprising".
So I made one of the several war droids from the Old Republic era, and I chose to make the Sith War Droid Mark II . One of my favorite looking droids in the Star Wars universe. Before anyone asks, yes they are that huge. I also didn't want to bend the legs so I could show how tall it is.
Anywho, enjoy!
Comments are appreciated.

I watched Rogue One again, (my favorite SW Movie btw) along with it being days after Celebration, and so I'm in a Star Wars mood. From L-R: General Grievous, Han Solo, Classic Rebel Trooper, and Shadow Stormtrooper. (The cape on Grievous has tape holding it down to this back.)
Stonehaven’s War Memorial was built in 1922 and officially unveiled in 1923 to commemorate the men and women who lost their lives in the ‘Great War’ of 1914 -18. More names were added after the end of the Second World War.
