Still don't know what to think of this one.. I climbed the fence of the waterski~harbour and saw this. I saw the foreground rocks and was immediately convinced, however capturing it at low light wasn't that easy.
Especially not when "louche" people were watching me. A van stopped at where I was, and a croock kept an eye on me. I witnessed before, at another location, I was watched, by a guy in a Peugeot 307 (I guess).
I pumped my lungs with air, and looked to the guy in the van and did real tough (like what the hell you are looking at, dude!).. He drove away.. Bizar!
If you know Belgian history of kidnappings, murder, .. a lake is a perfect place..
I made it home safely!

Standard 3 exposure HDR [-2,0,+2EV] at f/8 using the Sigma 10mm fisheye lens on a tripod.

Tonemapped using the detail enhancer.

° A small crop at the left side and a bit of an horizontal stretch.
° Shadows and highlights.
° A little exta brightness in the front.
° High pass sharpening ( See here for description ).

3 illnesses in less than 2 months have made me tired as hell, I've lost 6 kilos going from 86.5 to 80.5kg which could be seen as the only benefit from it all. I suffer an iron shortage and some liver disorders due to the viral infections I had, nothing serious but it is what makes me tired - all the time. Despite off that all I took myself for a cold sunrise walk through the snow. We had 10cm in just a few hours the day before yesterday and today was all clear and sunny, that would be too hard to miss.

Now this one took me some time to get it right, it was pitch black here, and everything is lighted by my headlight, wich i held in my hand. I walked around the room, in this 1 minute exposure, with my back to the camera. Not showing the headlight and lighting everything (yes walking backwards was a little tricky here). Shot in Fort Walem, Belgium. 1 exposure, iso 200, 1minute, F9, 10mm

De leprozenkapel werd in 1460 gebouwd door Pieter Vandercruysse, officier van Karel de Stoute die lepra gekregen had. De melaatsen werden hier geinterneerd en de plaats groeide uit tot een leprozendorp. De huidige kapel is van 1590. Toen in de 17de eeuw de ziekte bedwongen was, kwam het Lazarusdorp in verval. Kapel en aanpalende woning werden gerestaureerd in 1992. Tegenover de kapel en de hoeve liggen de voormalige leprozenkamers.

today we went to an old 'fort', build in 1878 (wikipedia).
at the beginning of WW I, several 'forts' were build around the city of Antwerp. not all the work was done, and the available weapons were miserable. neverteless, they were confident to beat the german army, because the block around antwerp was supposed to be un-takable.
after world war II, a great number of collaboraturs were executed in this place.
thousands of gasmasks were left behind. telling a story of belgian history.
please no big group logo's or invitations without any words...
