... I charged ninety-nine cents on my American Express and Amazon sent me a glimpse into the meaning of life. That's not a bad price and I won't be coy, I'm going to share that glimpse with you without further adeau.
The glimpse was simply this: There is no meaning of the kind we seek and that is not a bad thing. It lets each of us off the hook to determine our own meaning. You are now free to do whatever gives you meaning and while this new freedom is not retroactive it begins immediately...this very instant.
On the surface I received a forty-eight hour rental of the Masterpiece Classics Wuthering Heights inspired by Emily Bronte's novel of the same name.
I was so utterly fascinated by the characters, their personalities, the decisions they made and how those decisions came to effect their lives and the lives of those around them. It saddened me to reaffirm that so much of the pain of life is self-inflicted. That's the price we pay for freedom of decision.
Now, I'll be forced to do a deep research into the life of Emily Bronte and the making of the Masterpiece Classic. In all likelihood I'll be doing research for the next few days, maybe weeks. To really know about the meaning of life is important and since science can't provide it, we have to fall back on the genius of the arts.
Here's the website for this offering of Wuthering Heights which can be rented on Amazon for ninety-nine cents or purchased for a little over eleven dollars US currency.
I chose not to buy it because if I rent it even six times, I'll have milked all the meaning of life out of it I can. That's a savings of five and half dollars more or less.

This shoot had sooo many problems but it was worth it.
(and yes for those who are gasping and shaking their heads, her hair is down and loose at the front. It was curled. It was blasted to death with weather resistant hairspray. Yet the curls still didn't stay)

Bronte Country, Yorkshire. You can just see the site of Top Withens near the horizon (see note). Top Withens has been linked to the classic novel Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte (1847). It is not the building itself, but its situation on the moors which is thought to have inspired the author. The ruins (just visible next to the tree) are much visited although remote, and have recently been restored. The Brontes must have walked these moors a lot and known them well.

Haworth, West Yorkshire is known for its connection with the Brontë Sisters and the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway
Two brave youngsters casually and gracefully make their way along the ridge of the Meteora cliff tops, Greece, without any climbing gear whatsoever, in defiance of the wind blowing strongly with a roaring sound.
While in Yorkshire, we visited the place where the Bronte Sisters lived and the moors area that inspired one of the most famous English Classics ever, 'Wuthering Heights'. A walk on the moors during a cloudy windy autumn afternoon, is perhaps the best way to understand the loneliness and sadness that tormented Heathcliff, the main character in the book.

This shot is inspired by the written work of Emily Brontë, in 1847 she published the work as a two volume and part of a three volume set. Wuthering Heights for those who have not read the work is a story love and revenge; set against the backdrop of the Yorkshire Moors.
It is an iconic example of Classic English Literature, a must read to those who have never read the novel.
A Tithe barn was a type of barn used in much of northern Europe in the Middle Ages for storing the tithes — a tenth of the farm's produce which had to be given to the church.
Tithe barns would usually have been barns often associated with the village church or rectory, to which independent farmers took their tithes.

Inspired by one of my favourite classic “Wuthering Heights”, this mixed media wearable book necklace combines 16/18/20g brass wires augmented by fire, an old brass connector, lace, Howlite beads, Pyrite beads, Picasso Jasper Beads, Flower Agate, ornate brass beads, an old barrel key and a handmade miniature book. The miniature book is made from rustic leather, coffee stained lace, coffee stained papers, various brass stampings, bits of fabric, an image of a vintage beauty resin-ed and matted and a crackled clay heart.
* Circumference of the chain is approximately 28 inches.
* Length of the pendant, from ornate brass bead to end of key is another 8 inches.
