"Photo and art, created by my friend Bianka Ragu. Thank you, my dear, I loved it!"

While having a walk at dawn with my mother - the weather's cloudy gray and soft windy - she plucked this beauty and came to me and said, "look, how beautiful this is". And she hold it in her hand and I took the pictures. This is the only flower in the mini bouquet today.

The white roses in their own mornings have beauty so exceptional than anything else.

📚 I've finished reading Wuthering Heights last night, which kept me awake till 1 am. What a story. It kept me hooked and I couldn't rest till I finally reached the end. Also, my mind was blowing with all the ups and downs and the tensions within the story, and it has such characters. Which novel do you think I should try also?

Too long I roam in the night

I'm coming back to his side to put it right

I'm coming home to wuthering, wuthering

Wuthering Heights

[Chorus]

Heathcliff, it's me, I'm Cathy

I've come home, I'm so cold

Let me in-a-your window

Heathcliff, it's me, I'm Cathy

I've come home, I'm so cold

Let me in-a-your window

I had a great walk around Bronte Country in West Yorkshire at the weekend. It is said that at the foot of the falls is where Emily Bronte was inspired to write the book Wuthering Heights.

Home of the Bronte family in the early 19th century, including the world famous authors Charlotte, Emily and Anne. The extension on the right was added later on. The house has been restored as it would have been in their days and the extension is a museum.

"If all else perished, and he remained, I should still continue to be; and if all else remained, and he were annihilated, the universe would turn to a mighty stranger: I should not seem a part of it."

This may seem an odd choice of quote - but something about her old wordly face and the old battered window evoked images Catherine Earnshow...now I want to read this book again

Kate Bush Day at the weekend was celebrated in various places worldwide with people all in red dresses re-enacting the famous Healthcliff song based on Wuthering Heights. It was an amazing spectacle.

This time last year we'd checked into a pub in Haworth, a Yorkshire town heavy with the weight of tourists visiting the gift shops and enjoying the tradition of the nativity where crushes of carollers go from door to door with Mary and Joseph, looking for room at the inn. I think we'd bagged the last room in the village. Sorry Mary!

We rounded off our trip to Top Withins where according to the Bronte society, no one by the name of Heathcliff ever lived. But still it was high and it wuthered beautifully

A small encore for the Bard and the Thespian if you please and poor Yorick would like to take a bow, if only his knees were anywhere to be found and last but not least a raspberry ripple ice-cream cornet in the interval … perfect ; 0)))

SENDING MYSELF UP : A TALE OF WOE IS ME AND WOE BETIDE ME … ; 0))

(to be delivered in an Old English thespian long drawn-out drawl with a great deal of theatrical gesticulation and raised eyebrows!! …

The moral of this story : Never take oneself too seriously!!! ; 0))

Oh, the weariness seeps through me

like an old Shakespearean tragedy

and the darkness waits for me,

like Heathcliff on the Moors

I am melodramatic,

but what can one expect

when one is born

in a field on all fours.

My back story completes me;

defeats me and leaves me

completely exhausted, “I SAY!!!”

From farmyard to theatre

to Bohemian Latin Quarter

to Venice, The Lido

to London and back

to the country, then seaside

my life is alas and alack ...

Never a dull moment

that passes before me

when I don't discover the spotlight.

I have only to switch on

the lamp set beside me

and watch the large mirror

reflect on my plight.

I read the reviews -

What's this? ; I'm yesterday's news!

I am wrapping for cod fish and chips!

I am sprinkled with vinegar,

salt and Tom Ketchup,

then screwed up and thrown on the tip!!

What! No curtain call, encore or Bravo; three cheers,

for she's a jolly good “fellow”.

Alas, poor Yorick I knew him well,

well, at least I did when I was playing Othello.

What's that you are shouting?

I know! I'm not deaf,

well, actually I'm half-deaf; who's counting.

I know it was Hamlet, but he didn't fit the bill.

I needed a rhyme for “good fellow”

Now Yorick is laughing sat up on his shelf

and I'm surprisingly mellow

as I laugh at myself, so please join in.

There's many a truth spoken in jest

and there's a lot of true stories in me forsooth,

for my friends I reserve only the best… ; 0)

Not really but I imagine if Kathy and Heathcliff lived at the Heights today this is what it would look like!) Eastthorpe Hall. Mirfield, England

A walk to Bronte waterfall and the Clapper bridge.

About a mile and a quarter each way just a nice walk in the late afternoon

“I wish I were a girl again, half savage and hardy, and free... Why am I so changed? I'm sure I should be myself were I once among the heather on those hills.” -Emily Bronte

This week, I finished Wuthering Heights, and I absolutely adored it. It is so haunting and brilliant and mysterious and Emily Bronte is a genius. I thought this shoot was incredibly perfect given that I was finishing the book when we did it. Marilyn and I ran around in the fog and rain and imagined we were on the moors of England. It was some of the most fun I've ever had, and is definitely one of my favorite shoots ever.

Top Withens is a ruined farmhouse near Haworth, West Yorkshire, England which is said to have been the inspiration for the location of the Earnshaw family house Wuthering Heights in the novel of the same name by Emily Brontë (Wiki)
