There's beauty to be found in between the cracks.

Death Valley National Park

Enjoying the scenery on the ascend to Y Garn. Here we are looking over to Mynydd Mawr , the summit is just about breaking through the heavy cloud.

This was the start of a glorious summers day. Please like our FB page www.facebook.com/nuvisionsphotography

Origami tessellation, designed and folded by Michał Kosmulski. This piece uses an 18×18 grid but since each molecule is 4×4, a 16×16 grid works as well, though you get a straight edge instead of the overhanging rhombi.

Folded from handmade paper made by John Gerard Paperworks.

"I have seen a light woven through the landscape, as if I were within the inmost depths of a crystal."

Two layers of clouds move perpendicularly as they change colour while the sun sets over Seeleys Bay.

I made this time stack by combining 297 photos into one image.

The intricate weaving in this nest which is surely hidden away in summer but fully visible in winter caught my eye. Press "L" for a better look at the weaving.

In the 20th century, textiles were often considered lesser – as applied art, women’s work, or domestic craft. Woven Histories challenges the hierarchies that have separated textiles from fine arts. Putting into dialogue some 130 works by more than 45 creators from across generations and continents, the exhibition explores the contributions weaving and related techniques have made to abstraction, modernism’s pre-eminent art form.

When self-portraits get tricky... Sometimes it would be easier to get sharpness and outlining right with a model. But I like challenges :)

Thank you in advance for your views, comments, and faves. They are much appreciated!

Patterning made using a photo of a woven keychain; the original was blue and green and gold.

The brush size was the same in all the rows, but the spacing varied. The rows were made different colors, and the color was inverted.

From 12 pentagonal rosettes and 10 strips of copy paper.

My design, so far.

Rosettes can be ditched to create a sphere only from 10 strips. You need paperclips and it is quite a mess.

Rosettes will hold the paper for you and make the assembly fool-proof.
