Uncertain world is a mural painted by Bristol-bases artist Alex Lucas, also known as Lucas Antics.
The mural imagines a potential future world colliding with that of the very deep past - the Jurassic - with carbon dioxide concentrations as high as they could be at the end of this century.
I know there is at least one member of Macro Mondays who will recognize this logo. I wonder how many more there are. Raise your hand if you do.
These little pins (about 1cm in width, each) are perhaps on the younger end of things one might deem "vintage" (this week's theme for Macro Mondays), but they signify a time that was both early and formative for the World Wide Web, and a seminal product without which we all would not be here playing this game.
Celebrated today February 17th in Europe; so today you're allowed to destroy the dolls...you do it anyway every other day :)
This typewriter was used by the administration of Camp Amersfoort during the Second World War.
The number 5 contains a runic sign of the SS. Given Flickr's guidelines, I have made this unrecognizable.
WINTER❄️
Also when it snows it was beautiful standing there and taking pictures of this wonderful white world❄️
Here is a view from Ylläs, Finland. This was shot last week on the last day we were there. A short period of clear sky above those low clouds. Captured with two exposures. Learn my techniques & free tutorials: www.mikkolagerstedt.com/learn

The Birks of Aberfeldy with its wonderful gorge with its hanging valleys where streams drop down its slopes. Designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest for its botanical plant life, believed to be untouched by man for over 8,000 years. The Birks is one of the sites included in the Perthshire Big Tree Country Heritage and Access project, which celebrates the Perthshire's spectacular natural heritage.
May 20 has been designated as World Bee Day. To commemorate I have posted this picture from around 90 years ago, probably taken at the Royal Lancashire Show, of my dad holding a frame out of a beehive.
In later life he inherited my Granddad's bees but he became dangerously allergic to be stings and had to give up keeping them

World Photography Day.
This archive shot from 2013 is probably one of my favourite shots, not because of it being special (Niest Point is shot to death now) but because when we arrived it was just awesome weather.
We didn't know which way to start as there was a very dark leaden sky with sun beams appearing everywhere, it must have been comical to see two grown blokes running around like headless chickens. The wind was immense at the time and I did manage to loose my brand new mobile phone at this location in the process, memorable time for different reasons
Once back at our digs and all images downloaded the joy was something else when I saw this shot looking back at me.
Will Elephants and the rest of the African continents beautiful but severely pressurized wildlife survive the Chinese takeover of Africa, whose demand for illegal wildlife parts drives so much of the slaughter of these innocent and wonderful animals? Let's hope so on today's World Wildlife Day...
