7. I chose the word distant because I have been hazy all day and rather dissociated. I wanted my picture to be dark and muted to try and show that emptiness and detachment. However, I also need my word to stand out from the others that are present. So, I decided to make my slip brighter and more colorful from the rest, again making the difference and detachment from the others more noticeable.
Here is a word cloud of 50 of the most common used words in Museum Memories Day, May 2011. We stripped out common words such as the, and, personal pronouns etc, and also names of individual museums or cities. That's because some museums who took part really pushed for people to tweet memories about them, which was great, but that means they are overly represented and we wanted the word cloud to capture the general feeling of the day, not which museums got the most mentions.
