"Mariana, as beautiful as light itself" An interpretive portrait of my friend, Mariana. The passion, beauty, wisdom and fire one finds in the women of South America and around the Mediterranean is difficult to capture, I think, in just a photograph.
The best I can do is to portray their spirit with just a vestige of physical definition to show that her beautiful spirit is wrapped in external beauty.

Chapungu Sculptures from Chapungu Sculpture Park in Harare, Zimbabwe are currently on exhibition at Denver Botanic Gardens, if you are in Denver Go!. Fifty-seven stone works are on display and each tells a story deeply rooted in the culture, history and traditions of the Shona in Zimbabwe.
Many of the sculptures speak to present day social realities of AIDS and poverty. This one, Woman of Wisdom by Nicholas Mukomberanwa, I believe expresses both the power and authority that women have as counselors and mentors in social and moral issues within the Shona community.

Here's another from our brief wolf encounter along the Norris Canyon Road in Yellowstone. Closest we have ever been....a wonderful chance encounter that continues to support my theory that when you visit Yellowstone, be prepared, because anything can happen at any time anywhere. Wishing everyone a fantastic weekend....we're off for a short trip to see our oldest niece get married this weekend, so I'll catch up with everyone later this evening or when we return on Sunday :-) Thanks for all your visits and support!!!!

Happy New Year 2022. According to tradition here, today is the day to post a "First of its kind" that breaks the record in Hong Kong History! This year, we have the first ever double deck electric bus for Hong Kong, built by China manufacturer Wisdom Motor,
As of today, Jan 01st 2022, this bus has not been registered and decorated. However it is expected there will be some complicated logo designs or slogans on the body later when entering services, which may be impossible for me to draw in MS Paint, therefore this is the completed version of this drawing, showing its brand new status.

Shot with the awesomely sharp, sharp Carl Zeiss Sony Sonnar Sony FE 55 mm F/1.8 ZA Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* Lens and finished in Lightroom 5.3 ! Was using the B W 49mm Kaesemann Circular Polarizer MRC Filter on bright, sunny day. Check out the low glare off the rocks and water and the bright blue sky! Super sharp images and crystal-clear pictures!

Another shot of the Rockerfeller center or a portion of one of the walls in this case, the lighting that was setup ready for election light made this mural or statue or plaque whatever its called look even more interesting in my eyes
I love the rain, snow, and nature. The ocean and rivers are beautiful and inspiring! If given the chance, I never miss a snow day. I didn't miss them as a kid or a teenager, so why should I now? And by the way… the feeling of crossing the East River by ferry is out of this world!!! The best experience & cheap, too!
