This is 'Spitter' one of the old ladies of the group.

If I were in charge of these group names, I'd say a “wisdom” of elephants. But that's not it. Anyone know, anyone? Bueller? Yes, a “parade” of elephants is the right answer. Not bad, not bad, group-namers.

This photo was taken in Namibia, where it is quite hard to find elephants compared to Botswana. We drove around for hours trying to find a parade, and finally, we spotted this guy through the trees.

Wisdom

The wisdom of the ages speaks loudly so listen carefully

This is Ms. Monnie, AJ & There Great Great Granny, my Grandmother wow ,';0]...

My Mothers Mother.

This is a wonderful sight, just look @ Aj"s face, nothing but love.

"I prayed, and understanding was given me;

I entreated, and the spirit of Wisdom came to me.

I esteemed her more than sceptres and thrones;

compared with her, I held riches as nothing.

I reckoned no priceless stone to be her peer,

for compared with her, all gold is a pinch of sand,

and beside her silver ranks as mud.

I loved her more than health or beauty,

preferred her to the light,

since her radiance never sleeps.

In her company all good things came to me,

at her hands riches not to be numbered."

– Wisdom 7:7-11, which is today's 1st reading at Mass.

The theme for Macro Mondays is Wisdom, a topic that had me completely stumped until I remembered I hadn't thrown out the wisdom tooth that I'd had pulled about a year ago.....

Spring is very late arriving in the UK this year. This guy has been sitting patiently in our garden over the winter, and today he's finally experiencing the warmth of the sun and the new growth of plants around him.

I wish I had a bit more, that way maybe I would have a new job! Sorry for my absence everybody. I have been so busy with looking for jobs and doing editing exercises for positions, but I am all done for now. I have an interview Wednesday, so wish me luck. I hope to get one out for this test I have been doing too!

I am sorry for this kinda sucky picture. I haven't had a chance to take any and the weather has been so bad! This was taken before Christmas at a very interesting pub called the Black Friar, in Blackfriars :) The architecture in there is amazing, all marble and masonry carvings. It was pretty dark though. They have a good selection of beers too. I thoroughly recommend it :)

I found this tree in one of Portalegre´s squares. It´s more than 100 years old (dated from 1848 according with the sign placed next to it) and you can see the white poles suporting its branches! I was stunned by it!

Wisdom, compassion, and courage are the three universally recognized moral qualities of men.

Rome, Italy (April, 2013)

"We have a wisdom to offer those who have reached maturity: not a philosophy of our age, it is true, still less of the masters of our age, which are coming to their end. The hidden wisdom of God which we teach in our mysteries is the wisdom that God predestined to be for our glory before the ages began. It is a wisdom that none of the masters of this age have ever known, or they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory; we teach what scripture calls: the things that no eye has seen and no ear has heard, things beyond the mind of man, all that God has prepared for those who love him.

These are the very things that God has revealed to us through the Spirit, for the Spirit reaches the depths of everything, even the depths of God."

– 1 Cor 2:6-10, which is today's 2nd reading at Mass.
