WIP of two 12x12" canvases. Acrylics. 2014, Windham, Maine. Homespun "easel" of repurposed wood I found in the barn. Also, loving using the little wooden troughs for brushes, etc.

Legs are mostly done. Still need to work on the rest.
Taking final pics of this is going to be a PITA. I need to figure out how to do color adjustments to get rid of that "minty" green hue.
I'm trying to build a bullpup paratrooper-ish rifle/PDW, but I ran out of ideas. All ideas accepted, constructive criticisms only.

Well, I posted these pics of my WIP Crisis Commander for my Tau army a while back on Tauonline, but I've never really posted any of my 40k stuff on Flickr. I decided it was time to change that. Anyway, the conversions I've performed on this guy include a Tael style head, modified jetpacks, completely reworked arms, tons of extra armor (mostly from spare stealthsuit parts), and a custom base. Anyway, I just wanted to see what you guys thought of it so far.

Diribu! This photos says it all. Since the first time we met during my second month in Ethiopia, this little girl has stolen my heart. She’s so loving and adorable. She loves to kiss your hands or the back of the camera when she sees her own photo. What a sweetheart!
Unstrung her right after I put her together. The colour difference was very obvious to the naked eye. Of course naturally it was impossible for me to tolerate it, so I soaked her in some clean water and prepared for the long sanding process ahead:)

This fabric has served me well. I bought it the very first time I went to Okalipuram in 2010 from a pile of cut pieces... and I've made 3 baby quilts and an infant coverlet with it.
I think these could turn out pretty good actually. Might be a little too tight, but then again the material might be flexible enough to make up for it - and moccasins are supposed to be tight.
I'm not sure thin felt is the best material, not sure what else to use though. A thin suede or leather might be the optimal, with leather soles, but I have no idea where I could find that (for a resonable price). Or how hard it would be to sew.
Maybe a fake leather sole (I should have some of that) and wool top? I have some nice fake suede as well, but it frays too much I think.
This is good enough for a trial though :D
It is tried on Isobel's foot, and her toes are almost all the way to the front here.
For some reason, HTML isn't working, so here:

I was going to put a gear on the McToran head on his back, but looking at the front, I think I might just scrap it and restart from the legs. >_<
Her eyemech has to be fixed and gazed yet. Now, it's getting dark quickly and I had to run if I wanted to have some pics taken.
