Working on a couple of new figures right now. Hope to get them up by tomorrow, but for now here is one. I'm keeping the other one's a seacret untill tomorrow. :) Please keep in mind that this is a WIP fig so any helpful tips would be nice.
This dress I've been wanting to make for a while now. This has been repurposed from a child's skirt and when I saw it I knew exactly what I would do with it. The little skirt had panels of each pattern and I ripped the pieces into strips and which ever way they ripped that's how I sewed it up, until I had enough for a Blythe skirt. Then it was a raveling mess of strings...lol...so I fully lined the whole skirt. The top portion is actually the sheer cotton lining from the original skirt...so soft and gauzy feeling...The Head band I made way back when I made the first one, similar to this. The vest is denim and fully lined. I designed it by altering the bodice pattern...
and that's about it....still gotta sew the buttons all the way down the back...cause it looks cool that way:)
Just waiting on that reference pic for someone to so generously upload so I can figure out how the back is assembled.
I've been a bit behind in finishing my granny square blanket. My new goal is to have the all the granny square finished by mid March so I can get started on joining them, wish me luck!
I might do something more with this. I don't really know. Currently, it's a table scrap, so any ideas on where to take it would be cool.
Also, I finnally got my white balance to work right. So that's good.
Oh, and more WIPs pics in my photostream (for those who might be viewing this in a group,etc.)
Here is her new hair. I am wondering if I should fill it all in. It is so funny how the stitches change the whole feel of the fabric. The lips are like patch thickness now and stiff and the hair has become stiff too. I have to finish her necklace and her wine glass still.
I think she may be my favorite lady so far.
It took over 1 bundle of floss to do her hair and that is 3 strands. HUGE amounts of floss.

the selvedge-bit is backed with a fluffy backing, and I think, I will use some plastic canvas for some of it to give structure.

WIP making a valentine's day zombie illustration entitled, I love girls with brains. I don't even know if I will bother baking it. It might be good enough to just photograph these things then dismantle. It does have a nice finish when you bake it though #p
Have had this in my imagination for a few weeks, finally a little time to mix up the papier mache and play around with it. Bunny ears and 2 masks for Blythe, in progress. Messy gradeschool fun. Planning to do more build-out on the masks (noses, eyebrows!), then of course paint, glitter, go nuts. One clown, one Frida Kahlo / DOD... at least that's what I'm thinking, but we shall see.

This is not my usual color palette, but since this is an experiment!
Pencil and pen, coloring book collage.
My little boy is sick and woke up very early this morning with a fever, only to fall back asleep on the couch. So I did a little sketch of him and then started adding this collage. I am afraid it may look morbid- what with a closed eyed baby and an angel, so I will probably add a nice poem or song lyrics to this about a sleeping child, just to make sure this shows what I am intending, which is my sweet sleeping baby boy! :)
Does anyone have any suggestions on whether or not to add color, shading, painting, etc. to the background? I am stuck for now...

I was still knitting this sleeping bag while waiting in the hospital....it turns out to be not so practical for my little one....going to unravel it very soon......
Yet another wip mech, with probably not enough pieces to finish it. So yeah. I've been watching some Code Geass recently and just felt that I needed to build myself a Sutherland. I'm planning on it being minifig scale but we'll see how that works out. To those added, if you get tired of me adding you to all these mech wips, just let me know ;) Once again, C&C is greatly appreciated.
