The left is a wonky star start, from Stash Bash. The right is an improv mini that needs to be quilted.
Some progress on the base. This will probably be done next year sometime because I need 10 more XL gray baseplates!!!
After the excitement of STEAM, and being isolated from my Bricks at uni, I'm doing some CAD work on probably my next loco project, a complete rebuild of my Merchant Navy Class. These rebuilds usually happen through gradual change from the original design, and I keep the old one handy (behind) to make sure my changes aren't just butchering it (cough, Black 5 V2, cough).
Anyway, still lots of work to do, and nothing finalised yet. But I'm pretty sure I want that chunky boiler.
A close-up of the hangar at the front of my SHIP. There are a few errors I noticed after photographing, but this view clearly shows the hangar defense turrets, shield generators, and you can barely see the fighter launch tubes at the back.
Note: forward is to the left in this image.

A 2 year wip. Finally finished the handquilting. Only binding to go. Red polka dots. This hanging will be on the wall in my laundry. That is a room that needs some cheering up doesn't it!
The pattern is by some Aussie girls - at Material Obsession. Exquisite patchwork patterns. This one was a freebie in an aussie quilting mag about 3 years ago...
4 weeks work so far and I doubt if you can recocnise ANYTHING from the real, but I hope to show some more progress soon and maybe next week I'll tell you what truck this is...... :-) .
A similar silouhette to " Forest Hideaway" sets but with different details and color palette. Missing button details, brouche and hair piece.
Fabric on the bodice is a 19th century reproduction, bottom is a super light cotton tartan. Apron is made in a mix of cotton batiste and voile.
If you're only on the internet for paintings of old guys with face tattoos then you've come to the right place.
Brian here hoped the face tattoos would allow him to be taken seriously in Blackburn's freestyle rapping scene but unfortunately it hasn't had the desired effect. Now even his dog is embarrassed to be seen with him and he's not allowed into any of the local pubs. He'd get the tattoos removed but sadly spent the last of his savings getting them done in the first place. Fate is such a fickle mistress...
This is phase 2 of this week's experimental artwork on a reclaimed 1m x 1m canvas. How will it shape up when we move to phase 3? Come back soon and find out...
Cheers

A work in progress (WIP), a pillow for my daughter. A tutorial from: don't look now, flower garden pillow
A WIP of a Dodge A100 van. I've still got a couple details to work out, mainly the rear wheel well, as I can't add the sloped piece without having an anti-stud show up on the backside of the van (from the headlight brick that would hold it in place). Depending on the orientation I display it though, I could get away with that.
I wanted to make this an electrician's van that fit the time period of my trains (roughly, A100 production started in the mid '60s, whereas all my trains are late '50s). The original idea was for it to be a Brickstuff electrician's van, using 1x8 printed "Brickstuff" bricks on the side, but those are white and I really wanted to use the printed utility arrow panels, which required yellow. I think it definitely needs some kind of logo on the sides to fill the space there, and add that extra detail.
Haven't been doing much building as I've been busy doing Bricklink orders (and with school), but this is a WIP of a second Victorian I'm working on. It's going to be based off of a Victorian style house I've walked past a couple times -- the design of it was very intriguing. This will be the second floor.
Yeah, the colors are off too.
My 1st attempt at a mini art quilt, work in progress. I love how the puffy tree came out and already am flooded with ideas to expand on this.
A small collection of various buildings, put together so I could get a good look at their proportions relative to each other and a good look at how only using rare colors on the facade, as opposed to the entire building, looks. This is just a work in progress - there are more buildings in the pipeworks, and not all of these are completely finished either.
Been working on this the past week. Gotten rather stuck on it. The back section and cockpit are giving me troubles, if you have any suggestions I'd be happy to have them!

Another WIP shot of my RedCoat town.
Here's the original version. There's a lot of differences. The original was oriented differently and was completely flat. The new one also has lots more detail and a better fort. (Not pictured)
my project this sunday afternoon. a larger stitched bunny plushie for a friend I'm doing a swap with. finally have the time to make it for her!
..... I'm feeling low healthwise and have no inspiration, though I have several interesting projects awaiting completion.
As I have to have something "in hand" I've started a cross stitch picture from a chart I saw recently .....
it's easy and therapeutic.
If I wake up feeling better one day soon I'll put it aside ..... and try to be more creative!
Working with lots of new ideas, so I decided to make all the new hats I have in my mind!!! I always wanted to make something classic luke this one!!! Do you like it?? 😄
Here's a little sneek peek for some MOCs I'll be making this summer. Goku and Nappa will be in a small creation, along with another (secret) minifig. Elizabeth Shaw is going to be in a large MOC.
