The light in winter is most varied; there are days when it's clear and bright, carving the earth into light and shadow like a razor. Yet, at times, the light can be soft and quiet as a whisper, with color of the most intense chromatic variations anyone could ever need.

No idea how she did it, but the thistle managed to survive a winter. In addition, she has changed her original blue-violet color into yellow, so to speak in the complementary color.
Keine Ahnung wie sie es geschafft hat, aber der Distel ist es gelungen, einen Winter zu überstehen. Zudem hat sie ihre ursprünglich blau-violette Farbe in gelb gewandelt, sozusagen in die Komplementärfarbe.

The MetOffice have released their three month advance forecast for the UK and it is expected that, in the midst of the cost of living crisis, we are likely to face a colder than average winter. These advance forecasts are getting harder to predict with rapid arctic warming destabilising the high altitude jet streams. People in the UK are already having to choose between heating and eating as they struggle with obscene energy prices while the energy companies rake in excessive profits. It will be a tough winter ahead.

Another from my trip to Nyman's garden on Sunday. I forgot to get the name of this shrub, but a whole area to the side of the house was planted with them and they looked beautifully wintry!
