With most of my friends heading farther south to a local Volkswagen show, I decided to stay in my local city to spend a full day at Groundhog Gala. Head at a local Harley davidson Dealership, this show consisted of a wide variety of different hot rods/rat rods and bikes. Evey one with with its own little touch of flavor..
Stay tuned for full features on a few cars from the show.
An experimental rat rod built on a Caterham chassis.
In this build I further experimented with piece 11458, once again proving that it makes awesome intakes. Also tried some crazy stuff with brackets and skis.
The wheels are crappy-made ones, since these are painted. Nevertheless, if you don't study them very thoroughly, these make nice whitewalls that fit a low-sitting rat rod.
I liked everything about this old Ford pickup and especially liked the smile I got from the driver when she saw my camera. And how 'bout those whitewalls and the Olds wheel covers.

This is my sexy friend, Merphi. I had fun yesterday. :)
Check out her flickr! She takes amazing photographs.
What a combination!
I clicked the shutter a millisecond too soon. She gave me a big smile just after this.

INTERESTING FACT:
Vogue Tyre invented the whitewall tire, an iconic classic since 1914. That is why drivers prefer Vogue whitewall tires over any other brand. Vogue Tyre started as an idea to make chauffeur driven cars more classy, with a unique tire design. It grew to be the world's most distinctive tire.
White wall tires, also known as white side wall (WSW) tires, are still manufactured for the sake of vintage automobiles, although in relatively small numbers. They can also be mounted on modern cars, but they aren't commonly used.

Grant and I visited the Hostetler Hudson Museum Auction preview in Shipshewana, Indiana on August 3, 2018. Eldon Hostetler had established a stellar collection of Hudsons and their associated marques, showcasing them in his museum here in the northern Indiana Amish country. He has passed away and the collection was auctioned on August 4. Hostetler Hudson Museum

We saw this car on the road, heading into the NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl at Route 66 Drag Raceway, Joliet, Illinois. We saw it later in the car show there. This one is almost identical to mine, except for the whitewall tires.
