"Here I stand alone
With this weight upon my heart
And it will not go away
In my head, I keep on looking back
Right back to the start
Wondering what it was that made you change
Well, I tried, but I had to draw the line
And still this question keeps on spinning in my mind
What if I had never let you go?
Would you be the man I used to know?
If I'd stayed, if you'd tried
If we could only turn back time
But I guess we'll never know
Many roads to take
Some to joy, some to heart-ache
Anyone can lose their way
And if I said that we could turn it back
Right back to the start
Would you take the chance and make the change?
Do you think how it would have been sometimes?
Do you pray that I'd never left your side?
What if I had never let you go?
Would you be the man I used to know?
If I'd stayed, if you'd tried
If we could only turn back time
But I guess we'll never know
If only we could turn the hands of time
If I could take you back would you still be mine?
'Cause I tried, but I had to draw the line
And still this question keeps on spinning in my mind
What if I had never let you go?
Would you be the man I used to know?
What if I had never walked away?
'Cause I still love you more than I can say
If I'd stayed, if you'd tried
If we could only turn back time
But I guess we'll never know
We'll never know"
Have a wonderful weekend ahead
The remains of the Temple of the Dioscuri (Castor & Pollux), Agrigento, Sicily. The Doric temple, built between 480 and 460 BCE, originally had 6 columns on each facade and 13 along the longer sides.
🎵I been down in the dumps when I wake up in the morning
Same four walls been getting kinda boring
'Cause I been losing my Dodge Ram mind all day
They can kiss my ass as I drive away
What you saying 'bout a little pick me up?
We're way too young to give us up
What you say we all go somewhere and get stuck
Well, life's a ditch, so what the truck?🎵

My new favourite song by the Reklaws, Sacha. We are two days into extremely cold wind chill values between minus 40 and minus 55 that are expected again overnight and I wish I could take off in my Dodge Ram for a wild adventure but I have to stay home and take care of the horses. Soon though, soon. In the mean time I'll keep the home fires burning and dance around the room to this tune.
“What if I show you all those dark sides of my mind?
What if I let you in; so that you can see how messy and destructive my soul can be?
Would you still be there for me?
Would you still choose to stay? …”

Snails hopefully! This female Snail Kite was hovering for just a moment to precisely locate her next snack just below the water's surface.

Took a few wee pictures of Asha yesterday in Donaghadee. I couldn't make a funny caption out of this picture so I thought I'd use something thought provoking...What If?
I do sometimes think Dog's are Angels sent from Heaven, maybe as a way to test Humanity. I think the way you treat animals says a lot about you. I don't think anybody who is cruel to animals can ever be a good person no matter what good deeds they do or money they donate (my personal opinion). Maybe you are judged on how you treat animals on this earth to what happens to you when you leave this earth...Who knows?
a soft glowing light to end a very beautiful day. bitter-sweet, i hope it's not the end of summer for us...
What lies beneath? Facets of our being. Overwhelming detail, ideas and unknown fragments that shape patterns in our lives. They are all finely meshed together forming the whole being. Exploding with color. Both with form and without. Reflecting the whole from within.

Lots of snow from me this week. More down below!
This was one of those times when I forgot to check my settings before going out and wound up shooting in JPEG with auto ISO. I hate it when I do that! ;-)))

Recently a pair of ex Conrail SD40-2s have been bouncing back and forth between Grand Rapids and Detroit. When I heard that both units were leading D706 that morning, which was about to leave in perfect morning sun, I had to go out and shoot them. Here 8849 and 8823 lead the 8,950 ton train east across the Thornapple River. A pair of SD40-2s is rated for 9,000 tons east of Grand Rapids, in perfect conditions. It was close!

We are searchlights, we can see in the dark
We are rockets, pointed up at the stars
We are billions of beautiful hearts
And you sold us down the river too far
She hummed while pacing back and forth. The tiny house shivering from her unwelcomed presence.
"One, two..." she sung, "Stab it through..."
"Three , four.." She paused, hopping over the seat and balancing the little puppets. "Scream for more..." she giggled.
The sound of a wolf howling outside made her lick her lips. The hunger for blood, for a meal suddenly making her belly rumble in need. Just as she was about to stop playing with the puppets, she heard several other howls in response and pouted.
"Why did it have to be a pack..." she hissed, her tail swaying from side to side in obvious bloodlust.
"Too hungry...if only it was a lone wolf...I could have feasted..." she sighed dramatically, shaking her head. "Perhaps I could eat them all..."
The puppets were left unattended and off she went.
Scent of smell luring her closer to her prey. The first wolf that howled was on the ready, hair rising, tail swaying dangerously and teeth barred all ready to attack her. She lunged.
The fight was not so bad. Decorated with red she bit into the wolf's neck, pulling a chunk of flesh before tossing the body to the ground. Licking her fingers while listening to the heartbeat of the creature. She reveled in the kill.
"Should I put you out of your misery?" she cooed towards the wolf, leaning closer only giving the warrior one chance to bite at her face in a sad attempt at some victory.
Just as she was about to retaliate, a group of wolves attacked her all at once...
Lets just say that she underestimated a wolf pack. United together, never abandoning one another and most of all, fighting to the very end to survive. That's just something she doesn't understand about humanity or animals. Why do they fight so much? To what end?

What is next? A beloved question my grandpa in law would ask me. He was always prepared for the next wonderful adventure life would bring. So I dare to ask you, “What is next?’. Ponder on what is on the other side of your bridge and get ready for the wonderful adventure that is to come!
Boyeeghter Bay or ‘Murder Hole’ Beach, Melmore Head, Rosguill Peninsula, County Donegal, Ireland
What I personally love more about this stunning beach, are these sandy paths! They gently wind their way through long grassy dunes creating a perfect entranceway to the perfect beach. When standing here on this hill I was perfectly placed for the cool ocean scented breeze to rise up & pass through me. The sounds & smells of this scene can sadly not be digitally delivered to you as easily as this photo was, However if you take a moment to concentrate on this scene... your mind may astonishingly recreate them for you
Boyeeghter Beach is in pristine condition with perfectly coloured turquoise waters that easily rival those found in the Pacific Ocean. Sand that looks like it was delivered straight from Paradise, yet all is right here on our Wild Atlantic Way. Our ‘Emerald Isle’ still has its hidden gems for sure ☘️
