⭐️Thank you in Advance for your kind ‘Faves’ Visits and Comments they are so very much appreciated. 👍

I cannot always ‘Thank’ everyone individually, for their Visits and ‘Faves’ however, I will always try to respond and thank all those that leave a ‘Comment’. If I do not reply to your 'Comment', it is not because I am ignoring you, it's because I have not seen the 'Comment'.

Your 'Comments' do not always appear in 'Notifications' or Flickr mail, so, I am sorry for any delay in responding. Often your 'Comment' is only spotted 'On the Page' on the day, that I see it. (seen ONLY when replying to someone HAS 'Commented' on the image, and I see a notification)

I discovered this park during the first lockdown. It's just around the corner from my home but for some reason I never knew about it in all the 10 years living in Wembley! It's called One Tree Hill open space. I was planning to shoot a sunrise there for some time and one very early morning when I was driving back home from an all night shoot, I popped in there. The sunrise was really colourful although shortly after this it just became grey

Wembley Stadium arch

Key to the roof design is the Wembley Arch, a symbol of the new stadium and the longest single span roof structure in the world. Supporting both the fixed and moving roof sections from above, the arch eliminates the need for supporting columns, and has created a new landmark on the London skyline.

The Pitch

Popped over to Wembley the other day to shoot the stadium, as I was in the area for a course. I was in luck with the clouds and able to do some LE's.

The annual winter lights has returned to Wembley with the tallest LED Christmas tree (25m) in the UK and plenty of light installations. The lights was turned on by Strictly Come Dancing superstar Neil Jones on 25th November, various performances took place on the stage and at other areas around Olympic Way.

New Wembley stadium and arch. London UK

Metroline VWH2223 (LK16HZS) on the 182 to Brent Cross and VW1186 (LK11CXW) on the 297 to Willesden Bus Garage (not that you could see either!) negotiate the heavy snowfall at Wembley Park station.

I visited Wembley for both the Sheffield Wednesday vs Barnsley League One Play Off Final in late May 2023 and again a week later for the FA Cup Final between Manchester City and Manchester United. Both events produced around 250 coaches each so It proved a good haul to end the season!

Rail Operations Group Class 47s, Nos.47815 and 47848 are pictured approaching the assembled gallery at Shepreth (between Cambridge and Royston) whilst in charge of 6T02, the 11:23 Barrington - Wembley EFOC empty aggregate service.

This service has thrown up all sorts of classic traction over the last few weeks, sadly this is rumoured to be ending shortly as it is anticipated that Freightliner will take over the flow.

Wembley Stadium. I was approached by Security, and told that they don't want people photographing the arch - I made like an arch, showed them my arse, and took the photo anyway. Consequently, it had to be flipped vertically in PS to set it right way up.

It's always a good day out watching the coaches arrive at Wembley, especially when the less regular teams from outside the London area play.

If you haven't been since Covid then you'll be in for a shock! The new Pink and Green dedicated coach parks are almost entirely undercover which makes photography a challenge. Nevertheless, decent shots can still be obtained with good planning.

Here's a reminder of some of the visitors to Wembley Stadium seen in 2022.
