Once a year, each Rwandan school district organizes an “Open Day” for district partners to showcase their activities, products, and services. As usual, the 2016 Gasabo district’s “Open Day” is being held at the Amahoro National Stadium in Kigali. From June 28 to June 30, the Gasabo community will have a unique opportunity to learn more about the various development partners active in the school district. And we’re one of them! As a key education development partner, Wellspring Foundation is honoured to participate in “Open Day”. Each year, this event provides us with the opportunity to showcase the nature of our work in public schools to the Gasabo community, as well as the chance to explain why we do what we do. We love sharing about our passion to be a catalyst for transforming education for hundreds of thousands of African children and fostering vibrant communities that address poverty in all its forms. ‪ #‎qualityeducation‬ ‪#‎goal4‬ ‪#‎abcd‬ ‪#‎gasabo‬ ‪#‎rwanda‬ ‪#‎sdp‬ #community #partnership

Today, we're motivated by leaders like Félicienne, who are using Wellspring's techniques to transform their schools from the inside! If you haven't already, make sure you check out Félicienne's story to see how she is inspiring her students to reach out into the local community: ift.tt/2prO0J1 #MondayMotivation #MonMornMot #education #rwanda

Today, as we celebrate Christ's resurrection, we give thanks for the truth that light has triumphed over darkness, that hope is never lost, and that God is making all things new. He is risen indeed!

Wellsprings Friends School is located on the south side of West 18th Avenue near Bailey Hill Road in southwest Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, USA.

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”⠀ ⠀ When asked, a P6 female student at Bweramvura launched into a passionate explanation about her dreams. She explained that her father was ill and she had seen him struggle with the medical system in Rwanda. She wants to become a doctor to help people like her father. She wants to give back to her family, to her community. As more and more girls began to speak up about their dreams, a theme emerged. They all wanted to give back, to help others. Even at a young age, they displayed servant hearts.⠀ ⠀ Read more about Wellspring's plans to work with communities in Rubavu and see girls empowered: ift.tt/2yiPRDH ⠀ #education #femaleempowerment #girlseducation #heartachetohope

Schools in Wellspring's programs are succeeding! With leaders embracing their servant hearts, teachers using quality education techniques, and parents stepping into their roles in their child's education, kids are receiving a higher standard of education that equips them for the future!

Wellspring Legacy (Raffie's Majesty - Ave's Princessa by Key Contender), being squirrely

Throwback to this tag team math lesson from 2017! • Teamwork makes the dreamwork, and we know this to be true both inside the classroom and outside of it! When parents, teachers and school leaders work together as a team to see education become the best it can be, students truly reap the benefits! • Not only do they gain a great education through engaging lessons like these (math can be fun!), but gain meaningful friendships, cooperation skills, and boosted self-confidence! Now that's quality education! • #teamwork #qualityeducation

12 years of schooling and 12 years of learning need to go hand in hand. Every child deserves a quality education that is dynamic, locally relevant, and empowering. It’s time for us to play our roles in righting the global education crisis.
