I never remember what this plant is called, but that bright pop of color this time of year always catches my eye.

Getting dirty & wet (and don’t care) after work while listening to jazz & Spanish music! I found my summer Zen.
Always a complete contrast to her strictly 2-braids sister, A always wants to try something new. Funky wonky side braid today.
My Wednesday Walks with JJ are quite well known in close circles now, as when he is home from uni, we like to take a stroll to the seafront as often as we can. We have chosen Wednesday, because it's my last working day, which gives me the 'Friday feeling'! On this particular walk, it was warm enough to paddle (in the seaweedy water!!) It felt SO good!!
A very cozy place to be, in front of a roaring fire with temps what they are across middle America this week. Also a chance to show off some of the silver goodies Santa brought.
Daisy, yesterday after work....all ready for a night out. During the afternoon I had a sudden hankering for a nice dinner out. Maybe missing out this last weekend had something to do with it. 😉
Anyway, I didn't mention it to Daisy in advance. I figured when I met her at the door in a dress and makeup...she would understand it wasn't going to be an ordinary evening at home. 😜
This is the third Wednesday Addams themed Blythe I've done. Each is a little different, but all of them remind me of why I got into the hobby in the first place. :)
Something different, well, at least for me
I picked up a new toy yesterday. I needed some sensor cleaning supplies and went to my local camera store on my lunch break to go get them. I am happy to say that I finally found a camera store in the Santa Cruz area that actually carries the essential supplies as well as having Lee filters and other odds and ends I purchase frequently.
And in today’s economy, where you spend your dollars is more important than ever. If you live near Santa Cruz, check out Monterey Bay Photo Mart on Park Ave. It’s a funky little shop, but they might just have what you need at the same or less than online. Anyway…
As I chatted with the store owner, I let my lust for new lenses and my desire to help support the local economy get the best of me. I picked up Nikon’s new 35mm f1.8 G AF-S DX lens. I’ve always wanted a lens like this, and it was definitely an impulse buy. I really didn’t do any research on it, and in the end, I will just have to see if I enjoy its qualities.
So, I present my cliché bokeh shot with my new toy. And hey, it’s on Wednesday! Ok, I got carried away.
