Bears: “We are going to order nice cold drinks.”
Me…..: “You will not get any…”
Bears: “Why not? It is very hot and we are thirsty!”
Me…..: “They don’t sell drinks here, they sell chairs.”
Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?
I could really use a wish right now.

“On the night you left I came over
And we peeled the freckles from our shoulders
Our brand new coats so flushed and pink
And I knew your heart I couldn’t win…”

Inspired by a photo taken by Kerri Lee Smith I went outdoors today between two heavy rain showers and tried to photograph droplets. This is a close-up of a flower of my Plumbago and I add a photo in the comments which shows the complete flower. It's one of many, the Plumbago is a kind of shrub and has about 40 of these flowers at the moment.
We had some snow in the morning and Linus was out of control. The photo is rubbish from a technical point of view, it was early morning and still rather dark, but I love his excitement which shows so well here. I had planned to try some photos of Linus with his Santa hat today but I postponed it because I didn't want to spoil his fun. The snow has disappeared almost completely now but Linus enjoyed every minute.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
from the famous poem by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae
11 November is Remembrance Day in the UK when we remember those members of our armed forces who have died in the line of duty. We have services and two minutes silence on the Sunday nearest to the 11 November as well.
The red remembrance poppy has become a familiar emblem of Remembrance Day due to the poem "In Flanders Fields". These poppies bloomed across some of the worst battlefields of Flanders in World War I, their brilliant red colour an appropriate symbol for the blood spilled in the war. (Wikipedia)
The background photograph is of the Cenotaph in London where the main Remembrance Day service takes place, this year on November 13.

The beautiful leaves will come again, even though the wind and the rain have blown them nearly all away. A Virginia Creeper has covered our lower shed for years and provides beauty in the spring and summer, a lot of work to keep it in check just to find the shed door ! Then the autumn comes and that's when these brilliant colours appear.
Now, the wind and the rain have blown all the beautiful leaves away. But they'll come again in the Spring and I can't wait !
Twelfth Night - The Wind and the Rain
Thanks so much for all your support and friendship everyone. This is for all who've been affected by the recent hurricanes, which wrought such devastation to people and other animals, and of course, to our planet. We will survive and come again !

Early morning at Edith Cavell (www.flickr.com/photos/runqing/51501198837/in/dateposted/), on the end of the video, showing “The Angel Glacier”. The hanging Angel Glacier spills over a 300 meters cliff above a turquoise pond. After taking the sunrise photo, walked to the close end of the north face of Mount Edith Cavell, walking along the pond to find the unique icebergs floating on the pond, hearing rumble from time to time… Waited about an hour to have the right light shining on the iceberg, here was another one iceberg under the light, tele-lens was used for the shot 😉

After having small children visiting my garden and assuring them that they could pick two flowers each, I found these delightful blossoms on the ground after they'd gone home. Not one to let a good blossom go to waste, I froze them. A shallow plastic container with a small amount of water did the trick. Those bright spots of color waited several days until I suddenly remembered they were waiting patiently for me. This is the result!
