This red-tailed hawk was perched in a pine tree examining the area, then decided on a direction and set off. This was shot at Commonwealth Lake.

We went quite far into the swamps in search of a sunrise shooting location. It was our mistake, along the way we missed a couple of pretty good ones in search of the best one. Therefore, we met the dawn at a rather boring location

We were tired from travelling to the city that day and were pleasantly surprised to have a quiet evening in the heart of the French Quarter. New Orleans, LA

We are still getting more snow and it will probably go on all week

It's difficult to know when these establishments are open with the Covid rules changing every 5 minutes.

We are finally getting some pretty color in central Texas. This is at Lake Waco. Have a wonderful week.

As a German, I'm not used to such memorials for the victorious soldiers of wars past. Obviously, the Brits have another history.

Many of you who are lucky enough to go on safari have seen examples of the symbiotic relationship btween animal and animals and birds. I have seen it as well but in the past the birds flew away before I could get a decent picture.

Luck was with me again here by Lake Nakuru where I finally was able to capture oxpeckers with an impala. The birds pick ticks and other insects off of the impala. And I guess we have to believe that the impala is appreciative. I know many of wehumans would be.

It expresses my feelings of determination that we shall overcome this Coronavirus pandemic, it is not easy now and will not be easy in the near future but with the will to band together with love we can overcome and move on. We are strong and must be patient while our scientists find a solution, we owe it to our children and grandchildren. Sending loving thoughts and friendship to you all.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️

A rather common warbler found throughout the Himalayan Belt. We sighted them almost everyday much of the journey. I know now that these are endemic to the Himalayas.

These are small birds - maybe less than 10 cms and incredibly active in the roadside bushes, trees and clumps of vegetation. I love the color of these birds and they are quite agile. The birds feed on small seeds, tree insects like Spiders, caterpillars and berries maybe. We never saw them on the ground anytime and most of the time were shooting almost 70-80 deg upwards. Except onetime when we were overlooking a valley and got this shot!

Thanks in advance for your views, faves and feedback if any.

Hit of the day: CLC - Helicopter

This mallard took off right in front of me. Had to take the shot!

COVID numbers are continuing to rise around the world. So many people are in lockdown and not able to get out, many have been sick and have had loved ones die, and so many, including me, who haven't been able to hug their families since the beginning of this pandemic. And we have no idea when the end is in sight, or if things will ever get back to "normal."

When I saw this little vine wrapped around a post in a nearby garden, I thought of how much all of us need a hug right about now. So I'm sending out a virtual hug to all of you.

Here's a song from one of my favourite bands, Walk of the Earth, that I think might give you a smile:

Well, here they are, all three of them! I think they are talking about the weather and what they will eat tonight ;-))

The song 'We Are Family' by Sister Sledge, just popped up in my head. Enjoy!

Horses have always been an important part of my life. They are always there for you and don't ask questions why. You either get them or you don't.
