"I do love lighthouses, and I believe they light the way into our souls"
No use of my seascape image in any form without my permission! Thanks so much.
I had a very muddy walk in the woods yesterday following heavy rain mid morning, but the sun was out for the rest of the day, and the weather was quite mild and the air was fresh. I turned left at the fork and followed the track back to my car.

The treetop path in the quadrant of the former women's accommodation in the Beelitz Heilstätten pulmonary sanatorium was built as a hot-dip galvanized steel structure made of commercially available structural steel and is over 700 m long. Since 2015, the path has led along the war ruins of the "Alpenhaus" and since 2020 you can also view the surgery building from a bird's eye view. At the observation tower (already shown see comment field) there is a viewing platform at the highest level, which can also be reached by elevator.
KALEO: Way down we go
If you’re going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It’s the only good fight there is.

The Shivering Sands Maunsell forts looking like invading aliens.
The Maunsell Forts are armed towers built in the Thames and Mersey estuaries during the Second World War to help defend the United Kingdom.
We had been in this place two nights prior to this one and both nights were very cloudy and we had to give up. Then we decided to extend our trip and try it one more night. At the beginning of the night, it was cloudy as well. We setup cameras and hope clouds would move away, Three hours later, still there were some clouds and we could only see a part of milky way. We decided to just take a few shots and leave. When we just started to take the shots, the clouds suddenly moved away and here we got our milky way:-)
The path between the falls of High and Low Force on the south side of the River Tees is part of the Pennine Way, the long distance footpath which traverses the spine of the country between Edale in Derbyshire and Kirk Yetholm just over the Scottish border.
Its whole length is ca 270 miles (430km) and when you get here (usually walking south to north towards the camera), you are getting towards the halfway point.
This section of the Cotswold Way path runs along the edge of the Lansdown hill which during the Battle of Lansdown in 1643 was defended by Parliamentarian’s forces against advancing Royalists. This line of defence signposted with orange battlefield waymarkers. One of those can be seen at the distance where the Cotswold Way path is turning left through a kissing gate. It also has an information board about the Battle. This tree-covered corner of Lansdown Hill is named the Hanging Hill due its steep slopes. Thank you for your visit, comments and favours, very much appreciated.
Cycling the Dava Way with the high Cairngorm Mountains beyond.
The Dava Way is a walking and cycling path which generally follows the course of the former railway line between Grantown-on-Spey and Forres.
Oh, Father tell me, do we get what we deserve?
Whoa, we get what we deserve
And way down we go
Way down we go
Say way down we go
Als die Pferde das Mädchen kommen sahen, waren sie erkennbar erfreut. Sie wussten sofort, dass sie nach Hause sollten. Den Weg kennen sie.
The scene made me think of 'The Horse Whisperer' with Robert Redford. When the girl appeared, the horses were visibly delighted. She didn't call and didn't give a sign. The horses knew immediately that they should go home.
"Her colors change to mark the passing of the days
No Earthly sight can match the beauty she displays
And when I die I want her lying by my side
In my grave... in my grave"

Happy Friday!
Based on some feedback and my warped sense of mind, here is my version of my Oculus capture taken on the coast of Oregon, and combining it with one of my captures there at Crater Lake (technically all happened in Oregon, therefore it stays in Oregon ..)
Took the image posted below and converted to B&W, then applied a small amount of warming tint to simulate the full moon light spilling over the scene, and then took the night sky from Crater Lake and made that into the sky through the rock openings.
Thoughts ... if someone lives out there, this could be a fun capture to try for real, but need some moonlight, stars, and low tide!!!! all to happen at the same time ... with clear skies.
I finally got my Milky Way shot over the Golden Gate bridge - using photoshop. Image shot from the Municipal Pier at Aquatic Park.
April 10th thru the 17th are some good dates to chase the Milky Way. It will be visible like this, as an arch between 10 and 55 degrees for about 4hrs. I plan to make the drive to darker skies - anyone want to join me?
