Old tracks near Queen Victoria's boat house, which were once used to launch boats on to the waters of Loch Muick.
This is the first time i managed to captured the milky way. I had to wait for the night the moon was 0% illuminated and i was really scared to be alone in the dark. But hey, it worked so it was all worth it in the end.
Looking down on Hatchers pass as the glow of the Northern lights dances over head. The lights to the right of the image are Independence mine historical park. Refer back to my previous post from last week for a close up of that area

I met with Alice and Karen to shoot the Milky Way at Santa Margarita Lake. This is a panorama of 7 vertical shots, thanks to Alice for the idea.

Situated in the South Downs NP, the hollow way to Halnaker windmill is almost glowing as sunset approaches.
Brooklin, Maine. Nikon D850 Nikkor 20mm/F1.8G 30 sec/F3.2/ISO 400. 19 Lights 30 Darks 30 Bias. Tracked. 9.5 mins total integration time. Astropixel Processor, LR, PS.
Conditions were difficult due to heavy condensation - the tracker spotting scope fogged up, and the lens heater/defogger was only intermittently working. The intent was to obtain 120 light frames - only 19 were usable.
By the way, satellites are visble in over 90% of the images - I assume that this is compliments of Elon Musk...
This track with the lone tree is near the village of Thorner, West Yorkshire and is part of the Leeds Country Way

It will again be a long way through the winter. Especially this year with the pandemic. The importance we attach to working together is only really felt in these times.
