Today was a bad day. The little crap that happened and led up to the main even isn't worth mentioning. But my father had his 3rd heart attack today and it was a bad one. They prepared us for losing him as they were saying he probably wasn't going to make it.
My dad is only 54 years old. He's always been a super hero to me. I think when his heart started to give him problems it made him not want to accept his human limitations and he constantly pushes himself, usually in the name of helping someone else. He had a bad heart attack today mowing his neighbors lawn in the insane heat just to be a nice guy.
We are lucky to still have him. The smaller hospital stabilized him while life-flight was on the way and took him to the larger hospital in Dothan. He is now in ICU with my mom but doing a LOT better.
I'm so many emotions right now. But my main one is grateful. My mom and I prayed so hard together over the phone as they were working on him at the smaller hospital. They just kept saying it wasn't looking good but he pulled through and he is doing better. As soon as life-flight got there me and hubby went to Dothan to see him. It's so hard seeing your hero like that... he had tubes in every end and a nurse kept poking him for blood. My heart also ached for my mom. They've been together since grade school and they are still so in love.

Don't let my story depress you, instead I really hope everyone takes the upcoming holiday season as an opportunity to really let those close to you know how you feel.
