When in winter the wind drives the clouds across the sky and makes the light fade, I stand watch and watch with my light for coast and land.
I've been standing here for ages and no one, no one can ever get me out of here.
Even on my landward I'm protected by a high dike as my mortal enemies the bastards the sea and his companion the wind trie to take my existence from the back........

The caption is a spin off from the book..........
Jonathan Livingston Seagull, written by Richard Bach, is a fable in novella form about a seagull learning about life and flight, and a homily about self-perfection. It was first published in 1970 as "Jonathan Livingston Seagull — a story." By the end of 1972, over a million copies were in print, Reader's Digest had published a condensed version, and the book had reached the top of the New York Times Best Seller list, where it remained for 38 weeks. In 1972 and 1973, the book topped the Publishers Weekly list of bestselling novels in the United States. I love watching coyotes mouse in the fields. This photo was taken in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.
Discovered this little cutie relaxing under our bird feeder. It stayed long enough for me to change my lens and get a few snaps, while yawning, stretching, and rolling. What a treat. Shot thru two dirty glass doors. : )

I watched this osprey for a full half hour, hoping to see it strike but it was quite content staying perched in the same place in this tree.

Watch Coons 2 of the 3 babies sitting up very high in this oak tree, casually watching me, found in North Carolina.
Watching Angel cat is intent on keeping an eye on a stray cat I have been feeding, he does not want any one too get in his space, this look he has is after I told him he had to let the cat eat, he did so reluctantly, shot in North Carolina.
