Was ages ago I posted something from a mobile device. Last time was from my beloved iPhone4 (now after 6 years of usage it has done enough) which from my photographic journey began more or less. I learned to do some artistic editing giving interesting results and it's quite fun. Just bought myself a huawei p9 lite and it's not like an iphone7 or 6 but it cost 4 parts of it.. Camera is quite decent but I can have fun with the editing apps like snapseed which I like the most. Here is the bus stop toward the work in Rome (I'm an every day 3 hour return trip commuter).
HSS by the way.
A note: my extremely talented flickr friend M a r i k o inspires me regarding this type of pictures but also generally about photography (you surely learn something about composition looking at her masterful images).

Today I was scrounging around on my hardrive trying to free up space when I found a card copy that had never been transferred to my main drive. This was taken along the Sacramento river in Dunsmuir area while scouting for Mossbrea Falls. This is a spring that flows directly out of the hillside.

It was a fantastic walk through the Sigmund-Thun Klamm and round the Klammsee.
The Klammsee is a reservoir, is an underground storage with a volume of 200,000 m³ and part of the power station Kaprun. The dam Bürgsperre with a height of 19 m accumulates the Kaprun Ache.
The beautiful place is located in the municipality of Kaprun in Salzburg in Austria.

This was its favorite perch and would eventually return to it, after several tries I finally got it landing with a fish. Since it was distant it has a fair crop to the image.

This juvenile was at the Black & Blue Salvia on my deck. He is already aggressive at only a few weeks old, as he is chasing the adult male.
I am having second thoughts that this is a male. I though so as it was challenging the adult male, if I am incorrect could some please advise me. Thanks.

I was reading a Photography book, and there was a quote; "If taking an epic shot, why not make it double epic with a reflection." I can't agree more.
A perfect reflection of Maligne Lake Boathouse in Jasper National Park.

Trakai Castle is located on the largest island of Lake Galve. It was commanded to build from great prince Witold in 1404-1408, in addition to the already existing castle on the peninsula. The previous building was repeatedly damaged as a result of fights with the Teutonic Knights, therefore the new castle was to provide support for the older Trotsky castle. In this period, Trakai was an important center of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
Soon after the battle of Grunwald in 1410, the castle began to lose its military significance. The former fortress was transformed into a princely residence. Władysław Jagiełło visited the castle several times, and Witold died in the castle in 1430.
Starting from the seventeenth century, the castle fell into ruin. During the wars with Moscow, he was ruined and reconstruction plans were created in the 19th century.
The first conservation work was carried out in the years 1029-30, but the real reconstruction began only after the Second World War. The castle after reconstruction represents the Gothic style, according to the supposed state of the fifteenth century. It is a major tourist attraction in Lithuania.

Stanowi on dużą atrakcję turystyczna na terenie Litwy.

Rylski Monastyr – monastyr został założony w XIV na miejscu pustelni Iwana z Riły istniejącej od X wieku w kotlinie górskiego masywu Riła.
Współczesna postać monastyru pochodzi z XIX w., kiedy to dzięki ofiarom społeczeństwa bułgarskiego i przy zgodzie władz tureckich wybudowano ogromny kompleks klasztorny. Mury grubości 2 m i wysokości 24 m nadają mu wygląd warownej twierdzy.
Downhill House was a mansion built in the late 18th century for Frederick, 4th Earl of Bristol and Lord Bishop of Derry (popularly known as 'the Earl-Bishop'), at Downhill, County Londonderry. Much of the building was destroyed by fire in 1851 before being rebuilt in the 1870s. It fell into disrepair after the Second World War.
Downhill House is now part of The National Trust property of Downhill Demesne and Mussenden Temple.
Both Mussenden Temple and Downhill Beach were used in Game of Thrones as filming locations for Dragonstone. Remember the
burning of the ancient gods by Melisandre on the beach? Well, that was here. And also where Stannis Baratheon pulls the
flaming sword "Light-bringer" out of the flames.
He was born 30 December 1869 at Swanmore, county of Hampshire, England.
In 1876 he emigrated to Canada with his family and settled on a farm near the hamlet of Egypt, south of Sibbald Point on Lake Simcoe.

I was driving back from Fingeringhoe reserve with no success, when I spotted a few Linnets on a wire fence! It's amazing how close you can get when your sitting in the car! Luckily the background was ok too! First one I've photographed for a few years!

Pelișor was designed by the Czech architect Karel Liman in the Art Nouveau style; the furniture and the interior decorations were designed mostly by the Viennese Bernhard Ludwig. There are several chambers, working cabinets, a chapel, and "the golden room". Queen Marie herself, an accomplished artist, made many of the artistic decisions about the design of the palace, and participated in its decoration, including as a painter. Queen Marie considered Art Nouveau a weapon against sterile historicism, creating a personal style combining Art-Nouveau elements with Byzantine and Celtic elements.
The church that stands today was completed in 1717. This church was built on the rubble of the 1625 church destroyed in the Pueblo Indian Revolt.
Yeah, and a Happy Fucking Valentine's Day to you, too.

We don´t see light we are light.
and we´re spreading light.
Where light shines through
it´s something thin and fragile
But only that way can the light get in...

This was shortly before we found the little seal pup.
Blanca is focused on two crows at the water's edge and wants to charge at them ... but she wants me to give her the "go" signal. She has just looked back at me and now is trying to watch the birds and listen towards me simultaneously.
The idea of waiting until she gets a signal is completely her own idea. As far as I'm concerned, she can run after crows and gulls whenever she wants (she'll never catch one), but she insists on getting a signal first.
What she really wants is for me to run with her at the birds and she wants me as the leader to coordinate our run. I don't really like running, but sometimes I get drawn into her happy excitement and will thrill her by imitating a stalking panther. Then I suddenly break into a full run, which is as good as yelling, "CHARGE!"
The instant she sees me running, she takes off and we both launch ourselves at the crows in full gallop (she leaves me far behind at that point ...). Even though I abhor actual hunting, in this moment a shared instinct kicks in and we become strong and wild, acting with one mind and one purpose - and it is DEEPLY exhilarating!
And then I start limping because I pulled a muscle! ;)
I was looking over my photos to see which one I could post, and looking at this one just kind of relaxed me while I was looking at it. So, I dusted it off and cleaned it up and posted it.
Have a great Sunday
This photo was taken 23 minutes later at the same observation lounge of Tochou (都庁) as the previous photo.
The road marked by taller buildings toward Fujisan is National Route 20, which is also called Koushuu Kaidou (甲州街道) as the trunk road leads to Yamanashi prefecture (山梨県), and Koushuu is its old name.
Shinjuku was originally developed as a post town on Koushuu Kaidou in the Edo era. Shinjuku (新宿) means “new post town.”
I was off work relatively early today, so decided to stop at Leslie Spit for a few photos.
The colours in the sky, and reflections in the ice were incredible, I only wish this photo could do the scene justice.
By the end of my 2 hour walk, my fingers were numb with cold. I did however have a great time, I haven't had many opportunities to get out with my camera this winter.
