Iām posting 25 variations on the theme of āindustrial warehousesā, as generated in different styles by the AI text-to-image program āMidjourneyā. Midjourney uses state-of-art artificial intelligence models to synthesize images based on text prompts. Given where this technology is now, it will be even more amazing 3-5 years from now. To see how different words regarding style or artist or designer influenced the generated image, I selected a single theme. Iām a supply chain guy, so warehouses seemed an intriguing choice. In this image, style = "Robert Mapplethorpe".
Limestone warehouse, Mt Gambier, South Australia. The old Blue Lake Oat Mill is a heritage property ripe for restoration to its former glory. It's for sale too.
Warehouses on the corner of the Quay at Exeter; now converted. Both buildings are grade 2 listed according to English Heritage with the following exerpts from their descriptions.

CSX Y19003 switches Gulf Atlantic Warehouse on the Gardens Lead GL3 track. The industry lead retains a sag where the cars clearly tilt. It did look like a close call for those high cubes at one point.

The warehouse and offices of the East Terran Trade Company in Mooreton Bay, Alicentia. Here company foreman, Noel Paterson can be seen overseeing the loading of maritime cannon carriages into a cart for transport to the nearby docks.
My latest build has been commissioned by a german leading pallet truck and forklift manufacturer.
I've built the entire line up of its truck range plus three different warehouse scenes: unload/upload, storage and picking scene (see the previous pictures). Every scene is fitted with the right forklifts.
The three different subjects are the advertising campaign of the company and in these days my work is featured on many logistic and transportation specialized magazines.
It's been very challenging and even funny building all the pallet trucks and forklifts and the company has been really satisfied by the work.
Thanks for stopping by.
I recently visited the historic Loblaws warehouse at Bathurst and Lake Shore. (For those outside of Canada, Loblaws is a large grocery store chain.) The Art Deco warehouse was completed in 1927 or 1928 and also served as Loblaws headquarters until the 1970s. The site sat vacant starting around 2000. Itās now being redeveloped as a commercial/residential mix including a Loblaws grocery store. Theyāre taking apart and cataloguing the warehouse brick-by-brick to reconstruct the Art Deco faƧade. It will preserve the original beauty although it will only be the faƧade.
As the work has started on the site, I thought it would be interesting to visit. These are some of my pictures from the site.
Here is an article that shows renderings of the project.
Nottingham City, Grade II listed. Architect T C Hine, 1856. Corn warehouse for the nearby Great Northern Railway.
This corrugated iron building at the top of Tyrley locks on the Shropshire Union Canal may well have been used as a warehouse for small amounts of goods delivered or collected by the fly-boats that traded to a regular timetable. Somewhat neglected these days, at least it is still standing.
The warehouses on Gloucester docks have been refurbished.
This is part of one wall just catching the late morning sidelight.
Nice old brickwork laid in 'English Bond' and sturdy wall plate ties.
Telfords Warehouse was built on the Shropshire Union Canal at Chester was designed by Thomas Telford and built originally in the 1790s , it was constructed partly over the canal to allow boats to be located and loaded from the full height of the building.
It is an example of Georgian Architecture and is a grade 11 listed building, it was converted to a public house in the 1980s and is a pub restaurant today
Warehouse in west bottoms of Kansas City. I took the photo pointed up and then did a massive perspective correction to make it look level. In doing so, the stairs look a odd in sense that you can see more of the underside than if one were standing straight across.
Anyhow, I still liked it with all of the windows, textures, worn out lettering, etc.
