Liverpool's Stanley Dock viewed from the Mersey ferry. The largest of the buildings is the 1901 Tobacco Warehouse said to be the biggest brick warehouse in the world with 27 million bricks being used. The area between it and the South Stanley Warehouse has been nicknamed "pneumonia ally" because it is usually in shade and in breezy Liverpool acts as a wind tunnel.

Coffee beans housed in a Vollers warehouse. The warehouse houses coffee beans from all over the world waiting for transport.

Columbia via Wide Angle

Columbia has an interesting downtown. Old buildings that have been renovated and repurposed sit snuggled among much newer architecture that is sharp and cold, sometime lifeless. For me the redeeming quality is the glass that reflects a beautiful spring sky brilliantly.

Warehouse #6 interior

Union Road in Ryde is slowly turning into a residential street, with new housing going up all the time. This warehouse, one of the last remaining Victorian buildings, is about to be converted into housing. A black and white version of this photograph can be seen here.

This is made up from 12 individual pictures and was taken about 8 feet from the building. This is the reason for the distortion on the left hand side of the building.
