in these days Germany remembers the holes in the Berlin Wall and in Europes "Iron Curtain" - which was a line of death - and separated many families, also mine... here are some pictures I took in 1994 - showing rests of the wall near the Reichstag/Bundestag...
Juyong Pass (Chinese: 居庸关; pinyin: Jūyōng guān) is a mountain pass located in the Changping District of Beijing Municipality, over 50 kilometers (31 mi) from central Beijing. A Sicilian wall lizard (Podarcis waglerianus) on a chunk of rock near the Alcantara Gorge in Sicily. These lizards seem to be quite prolific across the island and easy enough to spot owing to their vibrant colours and markings.

Update: for those who care to know, I am suffering from muscle spasms in my neck due to my overdoing it during my moving ordeal. Valium is a perfect muscle relaxer for spasms so ....... but not a great motivator for commenting on flickr. So once again, I apologize for not keeping up or catching up with my contacts. Thank you to those who have not deserted me completely. Only 30 more boxes to unpack and now I have to move one book or so at a time.]
February 23: Working on a church project that involved taking a lot of pictures. As I was finishing up, the hands on the wall caught my attention. The only light source is from a room behind the camera (that hit the wall in the middle).

Why I consider it an "Out of place" photo: this girl is in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean in a very small island called Porto Santo (Madeira Islands - Portuguese territory), but she's using a wirelless internet connection as if she were in any continental city. Furthermore, she's near the beach, in a small park, in a rainy day...

The remains of the wall near the camp site, where they had been largely torn down. Its construction here is obvious: concrete posts with concrete slabs held horizontally between them. It was nowhere near as massive as the wall through the centre of the city.

During the Roman age, it was the border between the Roman civilization and the “barbarians.” A heavy wall garrisoned by roughly 10,000 men. You can walk along the wall and see the rest of the forts. It has now become a UNESCO World Heritage site.

A wall made out of Manure, was used as defence back in ancient egypt time… Imagine scaling a wall made out of cow manure… Best defence weapon ever.
Wall Street was completely locked down during the occupation of nearby Zuccotti Park.
Tried a new filter that removes the curves from fisheye. You lose a lot of the image but still, not a bad wide angle field of view.
